Archaeological Ceramic Building Materials Group

This group acts as a forum for those who are involved in the processing, analysis and publication of brick and tile from archaeological excavation and surveys

Aims

to exchange and communicate information amongst the group's members, and to a wider audience
to influence policy and strategy with regard to ceramic building materials
to liaise with interested parties

Activities

producing guidelines and standards for the retention and recording cbm [follow this link for work in progress]
developing minimum collections policies, both on site and for museums
encouraging the formation of a national reference collection
promoting continental links with those involved in working with ceramic building materials
liaising with related groups
