Jeeping Japanese Style!
This is a picture of a 1973 Mitsubishi J52 that belongs to a Japanese Jeeper friend of mine named Masao Aman.
And this belongs to a friend of his. Note the stamp at the top of the grille!
Masao sent me a brochure for a J53 which is not currently being produced, but is very similar to the model(s) that is/are. Here some pictures I scanned from that brochure.
Mitsubishi has been producing these since they got the rights to do so from Willys after WWII. Here's a data plate from an old 1956 Mitsubishi Jeep that I found long ago on a Japanese website.
