Treasurers Report
The club has funds to pay all its projected bills, although it wasnt in a position to make
any major expenditures on new equipment.
Equipment Office's Report
Pete reported the loss of the Dagger Outburst, due to major damage during a club trip, and
that the kayak could only be used in the pool or on placid water. Pete also reported that
there had been no acquisitions during the past 12 month and that the club would need to
look at replacing a number of spraydecks.
Activities Office's Report
Josef reported that there had been few activities due to lack of support from members
Junior Office's Report
Tim reported that there was a need for some more structured sessions in the pool. It was
pointed out by the Instructors present that it is difficault to run structured sessions
when there are so few instructors within the club and fewer still who attend most weeks.
Vice Chairperson's Report
Liz voiced concern over the absence of the Training Officer. Paul agreed to take on this
role and would see what he could organise.
Chairperson's Report
Paul voiced his concern over the club's reliance on so few instructors. This was discussed
at some length. Every encouragement will be given to those wishing to obtain instructor
status, through the club.
Voting of Committe Members
All the committee agreed to stand for a further term.
YOUR INVOLVEMENT
The club needs more instructors to run trips, and organise training sessions.
At present training in the pool sessions is avaliable. There are usually 2 or 3
instructors on hand. However its open water trainning which is the main problem. Lack of
avaliablity of instructors means that the organised trips dont happen.
The club also needs members who hold RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification. If you
would like to take this award contact the RLSS for you nearest course, or give me an email
