I am a climber in Washington State, with the goal of eventually standing on the highpoints of each of the fifty U.S. states, beginning with the large western peaks (although Mt. McKinley may have to wait for quite a while!). I have done 9 highpoints so far, mostly from these western peaks. Below are links to descriptions and information about these and other peaks which I've ascended. Most of the other peaks are in the Cascades, as that is the region where I'm currently living. Click any picture for a larger image. I have described only the standard, least-difficult routes (with the exception of Mt. Baker), so this site is mainly directed towards new climbers. Please keep in mind that any potential climbers need to check current weather and climbing conditions, such as from the local ranger stations. They are also encouraged to study printed route description guides (preferably with visual images) when available, and to make sure they have the required climbing/hiking knowledge and equipment for the chosen route. The author of this site is not responsible for any climbs/hikes gone awry.
