Hafa Adai, Welcome to Guam
| These are the highest mountains(hills) on Guam, while I was there, I went with a local scout troop and hiked the ridgeline over a period of three days. We hiked on paths only about a foot wide, with dropoffs on both sides covered with sword grass. I made the mistake of wearing a t-shirt, and afterwards my forearms showed it. All our tent poles broke from the high winds overnight, so we had two days of wet, sleeplessness(is that a word?). Overall, it was one of the best trips I've ever had =) |
| A beautiful overlook of the University of Guam's bay on the southward side of the island. The University has a marine lab right next to the bay(with a really cool boat I got to drive [shhh!]) where the Guam Shell Club meets. | ![]() |
| The palm trees, the ironwood(/pine?) trees, and the rubber trees with the cool flowers where the most abundant, they where in most everybodies yards. It was cool to be able to walk into your front yard and pick up a fresh coconut whenever you wanted to. |
