This site is devoted to stocks and pillories. Whether your interest is historical or otherwise, I hope you will find much to inform or entertain.

I have always been interested in historical punishments, especially stocks and pillories. But it seems that some people find this intolerable, to the extent that Tripod removed this site (which contains nothing but historical information) from their server in November 1997. Stocks and pillories may no longer be used to suppress free speech, but intolerance still flourishes.
