Thank you for the roses
They mean so much to me
They arrived while I felt very low
Now they've brought sunshine back to me
The red and yellow of these flowers
Bring back memories of the sunsets we shared
They were so pretty as we walked hand in hand
I almost forget their beauty as I look out of my lonely room
As I watch the buds open up
I think how our love started out small
But like these buds our love just grew & grew
I just hope it keeps blossoming, tho we're miles apart
I cried a few lonely tears
They fell upon the roses & lookedlike raindrops
I remember how we loved the rain beating on the roof
You holding me so tight as we watched the lightning
The flowers are wilting, the pedals falling off
I just pray our love is not dying while we're apart
With the love we have I'm sure we can hold on
Until we an be together for many years to come
