Because we're older, there is much to share about our lives. Of course, some of it is of no interest to the casual web surfer, like the eight grandchildren we have between us, but we're going to do our Dragon Grandma's Web Album anyway just 'cause we can. It's easier then the backpack of pictures we've been lugging around for years now.
There are other things about our lives that may be of interest to womyn like us. Labels are somewhat confining, but they are also somewhat descriptive. Trusting that you will explore some of the following pages and discover the womyn we are beyond these labels, I will use some just to give you an idea of our world as it was and as it is today.
are just a few of the labels that apply to Gentle and myself. In many of these labels, we are not horribly unique. The world is filled with readers and writers. There are a tremendous number of physical, emotional and sexual abuse survivors leading happy and productive lives today. And of course ONE out of every TEN womyn is a lesbian. And Grandmother's cover the world with their love and wisdom. (Nothing like a little good publicity here.)
We are somewhat unique in that we are both differently abled and we both developed Multiple Personality Defense as a very efficient escape mechanism during childhood horrors. (I know, it's suppose to be Disorder, but it is more truly a Defense.) It is the MPD that is the label seemingly most difficult for our friends to discuss . Not all, but many, haven't a clue how to go about discussing this very important facet of our lives. Multiple Personality Defense, (MPD), is almost as dreaded as a discussion of death. And yet this may be our most unique label. Certainly it is the one with the most impact on our lives.
It is for our friends and all others who may benefit that we will discuss all of our labels, and most particularly the label of MPD. For it is in breaking silence that life-long chains are broken and strength gathered both from within and from without. Strength from within comes from the energy saved by no longer hiding; from without in the friends and other's like ourselves who finally know WHO we are and accept us AS we are.
Of course, it will take time to put all this together. Please be patient with us as we work with great diligence on a daily basis to present you, our friends and guests, with a glimpse of our lives that we hope will enlighten and brighten your day.

THANK YOU FOR VISITING. PLEASE VISIT AGAIN SOON.
