To all of the spouses of Clergy everywhere.
Both Male and Female Clergy counsel couples who are contemplating marriage. And we perform marriage ceremonies, oftentimes, with many of our own spouses very close by who are themselves, perhaps, feeling the strain and drain of so many of the pressures that preaching and pastoring can and many times does bring through us, their spouses. Even though few clergy would admit it (male or female), indeed, we know well how all too often some spouses may endure lonely days and nights ~ even when their spouse is physically nearby. Although this is often left unspoken, nevertheless, we felt it was more than fitting that we offer this ONline respite for those of you who are fortunate enough to find it. May it be your haven as you make time to rest and wait and trust in God.Do you know the Lord Jesus? I do not mean do you know *about* Him. But do you *really* know Him as Lord and Personal Savior?
As women Clergy, most of us are especially sensitive to the ever present issues, cares, and concerns ministers' wives experience in the midnight of their own days. But, in so saying, we add that we are also most appreciative of our husbands and the companions, in the case of those clergy who are single men and women, that God have placed in our lives to help lighten our burdens and to brighten our smiles in the course of our day.
Yes, we are God's Women of the Cloth. We support the Christian and non-Christian women and men who seek to earnestly know and to do God's will in their position in the family. I am picking up where a now deceased clergy colleague left off when she said: "Isn't it kind of funny how when Christians get saved, they only get saved from *the neck up*?" And, I might add, nevertheless, we are here! They are there! Children are everywhere. So, from start to finish, we dedicate this site as our Celebration of Love and Marriage website to be that special blessing to both husbands and wives. Won't you make time to linger in the moment? Go bring out your Bibles, notepad and pencil. Can I get you a cup of hot tea? -- lemon? honey? mint?
