I have a Garmin
GPSmap 60C which I picked up in the USA as it is far
cheaper over there :D and since I was usually hiking in the Foret de
Montmorency with its dense leave cover, I bought a Gilsson antenna
for less than $20. I put it on the top
of my rucksack
after taking out the magnets and with this combination I am very happy.
My head is still slightly obscuring the satellites in front of me, but
since I have usually my GPS attached to the shoulder strap of the
rucksack, I can move freely and put on and take of the rucksack without
problems. |

GPS POI and
waypoints for the tourist in Japan |

After moving to London, I have started following the
circular walks as
described on the webpages
of the Colne Valley Regional Park. A very nice way to discover the
English countryside and still very close to London. You can download
the tracks and useful waypoints of the walks that I have completed in
GPX format. |
