Thanks for visiting!
We have but one aim here at the Church of Willie Aames, and that is to spread the word. One day, the Aamester'll be back
in the driving seat, as he was in Charles in Charge, entertaining millions with his wacky screwups and failed master
plans to date the Pi Delta Phi sisters. To that end, we set up this page... which we hope will entertain and educate, please you and titilate.
Maybe you'd like to join the crusade? All it takes is an email, a Charles in Charge rerun, a
choice quote. Cheers.
-The Webpoobahs

Willie Aames is best known for his acting roles in the television series
Eight Is Enough as Tommy Bradford and Charles in Charge (with Scott Baio) as Buddy Lembeck. Today he owns a production
studio that produces videos, commercials and programs for television broadcast.
He also produces and stars in Bibleman, a Christian video series for
children. Willie and his wife, Maylo McCaslin Aames, also an actor, live near Kansas City (in rural Olathe, in a ranch house with a picket
fence and a vast vegetable garden- www.autographics.com have it wrong, stalkers.) with their daughter, Harleigh. (Willie has a son, Chris, from a previous
marriage- Christopher, 14, lives in Costa Mesa, Calif., with his mother, Victoria Weatherman) The Aameses have been married ten years.
After the cancellation of Eight is Enough in 1981, Willie turned to rock music and cocaine. It was only after he read
Wired, John Belushi's biography, that he realised that if he didn't shape up he might end up dead. At the time he
met his second wife, he had been clean for six months.
That's nice. But why worship him?
Here at WANC, we honestly believe that he's a cool guy. And he voiced 'Hank' in
Dungeons & Dragons.
Dungeons and Dragons? Wasn't that a Saturday morning cartoon?
Do you call award winning Czechoslovakian animations about shoes that can talk 'cartoons'? No,
neither do we. Dungeons and Dragons was an animated series. Contrary to popular belief, the
games published by TSR under the same name were merchandising spinoffs, not the other way round. Tolkien's Aragorn
was probably based on Hank from Dungeons & Dragons.
I think that I've heard the name recently...
Willie Aames is heavily involved in Bibleman, the Christian TV show taking the US by storm. (we're told)
Bibleman?
Bibleman is a super hero who defeats villains such as Dr. Decepto and Madame Glitz with prayer and the sword of truth.
The stories involve seven middle-grade kids (8-to 12-year-olds) who rehearse musicals in their garage and perform them at school. They confide
their difficulties to their friend, Miles Peterson, who becomes Bibleman. He in turn is enabled to give inspiration and help through sharing some
bad experience that he has overcome with prayer. Willie Aames plays Bibleman and his alter-ego, Miles Peterson.
Where can I get Willie Aames merchandising crapola?
Does Willie Aames have anything to do with the Aames Capital Corporation?
Willie Aames, as far as we know, has nothing to do with the Aames Capital Corporation, which gives loans to poor people and doesn't seem like a semi-legal loan shark business. Allegedly.
Man, some of this page is camp. And Willie Aames is a good looking guy.
Uh, the Church isn't really that kind of organisation. Sorry.
Joining the Church
There are a couple of ways in which you could help the movement. The first is to join the Church by filling out the form on the guestbook page (coming soon), the second is to link to us (at HTTP://WILLIE.HOME.ML.ORG), and the third is to make your own Willie Aames Worship page (there is free web space available from Geocities) and send the address to us so that we can link to it. We appreciate all of your help.
The number of visitors to this site doubled on Willie Aames' birthday! We like to think that we're making a difference. Aamesday is every July 15th. Willie was born in 1960.
