At one of the Blues Branches sessions Steve said, "I heard this great version McCartney did of I Wanna Be Your Man." After a lengthy story about how The Beatles wrote the song for The Rolling Stones, Steve couldn't remember how the riff went. His inadequate de- scription coupled with our desire to roll the tape led to our settling for this version. Although Steve insists it's not like the McCartney version, I never heard the latter.
