The Smiths have a special place in my heart. They are one of the few originators of Goth that no one is ashamed to say they listened to or listen to. With the charismatic pressence of their lead singer, who enjoys a good solo career, The Smiths found themselves being played in every teenage girl's tape deck and massive air time on the radio. The only group that can say that much is The Cure. The Smiths acknowledged that sad songs are sometimes our only friends and can get us through tough times if we let them. So here's to The Smiths...greater than the sum of their parts ('Hear that Morrissey? Now go back to the other boys like you should!!). -THE HERETIC
