I recently traveled to the city of Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic. On my way there I had a 9 hour stopover in Moscow. I also had to change airports. I wanted to hire someone who could not only drive me between airports but also give me a tour of Moscow. I posted a message to the RUSSIAN-WOMEN-L@MAELSTROM.STJOHNS.EDU and I received many responses. Of all the responses I received three highly recommending Alexei Konychev. I wrote to him and let him know my itinerary. He was absolutely fantastic. He was quick to respond to any email request I sent to him and he was at the airport when I arrived. Alexei speaks good English and is honest and very friendly. On my travels I had the opportunity to meet his family and we enjoyed a wonderful Russian meal at the 'Television Tower' overlooking all of Moscow.

During my stay in Bishkek I utilized the services of Svetlana Halepova as my translator. She also runs a successful marriage agency. She told me about  a man who traveled to Bishkek through Moscow. This man used the services of a taxi driver from the airport. She told me that the taxi driver dropped the man off at the wrong airport and took some of his bags one of which contained over two thousand dollars. Whenever I travel to unknown places I try to research the best services available as refered by others who have been there. This is why I am writing this page recommending Alexei. If you are planning on traveling to or through Moscow I highly  recommend Alexei Konychev as a guide and driver.
