The Camp - X
Monument

All that remains of Camp X today is this simple monument sitting on top of a hill
overlooking the 17 acres of rolling hills called, 'Intrepid Park'.

Lynn Philip Hodgson, the author of "Inside Camp X, has graciously allowed me to use the
following pictures of Camp as we remember it. You can visit him at the Camp-X Official Site.

I'm sure we all remember this sight as we pulled up to the
camp on our way back from town.

On the left, just as you came through
the gate was Capt. Heaven's residence.

On the right was the Administration Building. I remember some of our
fathers got together and made a skating rink in this field one winter.

The unit with the fence on the left hand side is where the Jacobs lived
before they left camp. Later the Goulds moved up there from the bottom of
Camp. Just to the right you can see the "Lab" where most of our father's
worked (when they weren't away on one of their "secret" missions)
and at the far right at the front of the building is where the
"vehicle" picked us up to take us to school.

The only building left standing is the top end of the lower H building ... that's where the
Antonellos lived. It is no longer on the site of Camp X. When the buildings were being
sold for $1.00 each, it was purchased and moved to the Whitby Humane Society.

What are they doing now?

If anyone has any pictures of camp or us kids from back then, I'd love to have
them to put up on this site. You can email them to me at KidsofCampX@hotmail.com
