This site is a center for information and news regarding the highly influential Kid Congo Powers, renegade guitar stylist in such seminal and nefarious outfits as the Gun Club (which he founded with Jeffrey Lee Pierce), the Cramps, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Congo Norvell, and presently, the Knoxville Girls.

Over the course of the past decade and a half, Kid has worked with many musicians, such as Mark Eitzel, Barry Adamson, Robin Guthrie of the Cocteau Twins, Diamanda Galas, Nick Cave, Little Annie, Michael Gira, Make Up, the Fall, Lydia Lunch, Anita Lane, Die Haut, Greg Garing, and Inger Lorre, making him some kind of saint of patience to put up with such visionary artists! Kid is known as a "singer's guitarist" with a wide range of styles and approaches going from tasteful atmospherics to mournful country/blues slide, to raunchy rockabilly to wall of noise fuzz...sometimes all in one song!
