Well, in the spring of '96 I decided that I wanted to combine two of my passions, so I looked for an interesting Star Wars vehicle that I could create in LEGO. Hey, I was just getting ready to graduate from college, what else was I supposed to do with my time? Anyway, the end result was the Millenium Falcon. I built it using the blueprints as shown in one of the West End Games Star Wars roleplaying books. The top hatches are all removable to allow access to the interior. The boarding ramp and landing gear all fold up into the ship. The top and bottom turrets fully swivel (that is, the guns outside the ship swivel, and the turret emplacements inside the ship also spin). The smuggling panels can hold a few minifigs. The last few pictures even show the little pop-out gun from the Hoth escape during Empire. Click on the thumbnails for a larger picture.
