Joy is from Chesterfield, Missouri. She took a figurative
sculpture class at the Laumeier Sculpture Park in St.
Louis, and from there she learned her skills to
produce this bronze sculpture. It won second place in
the 1999 Art Competition put on by The Artist's Magazine
in the animals category.

He was born in St Louis in 1929. He gained his sculpting
talent from his teacher Carolyn Janis, (now Carolyn
Risque) who was also a teacher at Washington University.

Giraffe at the Dallas Zoo
Bob, an artist out of St. Louis, created this monsterous
giraffe for the Dallas Zoo out of Bronze and Plexiglass.
At 67 1/2 feet tall, it is the largest statue in the
state of Texas and can be seen as you enter the zoo.
Pat Deeter

Pat grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. She has had several
shows and won many awards. She even taught classes at
Fort Richie, PA. for a while.

Velda is an award winning artist from Kirksville, Missouri.
She usually uses an ancient Japanese throwing technique
known as Raku. She is very pleased with the technique
and all of the beautiful colors that it can produce.
