DEAR JOHN.
BBC 80's Comedy series. (By John Sullivan).

John Sullivan is also the author of "Only Fools and Horses" and "Roger Roger".

The late Ralph Bates stars in 'Dear John'. He plays a recently divorced 'John Lacey'. He
brings a marvellous light comic touch to such a lovely comedy. The story centres around
John and his decicion to join the "1-2-1 club", a
meeting group for divorced and separated people.

My favourite episodes (and in my opinion the funniest), are.

Episode 1- John joins the 1-2-1 club and mistakenly enters the wrong room. Can he get out of
alcoholics anonymous without offending anybody?
Episode 2- John's friend 'Ralph' buys a mobile discotheque and becomes 'Dazzling Darren'. The
only problem is how will his range of music go down?
Christmas special- John and the 1-2-1 club are at the pub when a biker gang decide its time to
cause trouble. Only 'Kirk St Moritz' can save the day, but will he?
-John is looking after Ralph's flat whilst he's in hospital, can things really be that simple?
- Retired pop star 'Ricky Fortune' (Kevin Lloyd) joins the 1-2-1 club and John persuades him its
time to perform again.
