Post-construction checklist(with your DVM):
Here's the checklist:
(1) Have you double check to see if you have good solid joints?
(2) Have you verify that tab #3, tab #8 and tab #13 are not shorting to the resistors or any other parts?
(3) Have you check to see if you have solder the transformer red wires to tab #4 and tab #5?
(4) Have you verify to see if you have short circuits between tube pins? (tip: you can bend the valve socket connecting tabs a bit to separate them from each other)?
(5) Have you verify that the green twist wires are connected to pin B4 and pinB5 as well as pin A4 and pin A5 respectively?
(6) Have you make sure that you have good, solid solder joint on all RCA jack grounding tabs?
(7) Have you verify that you didn't put too much solder on the inner side of all RCA center tab? (NOTE: it would be advisable to solder the outer surface of the center tab of all RCA jacks. If you solder wiring on the inner side of the center tabs you should make sure that you did not apply too much solder otherwise excess solder will block the RCA plugs from connecting properly)
(8) Have you install the knobs yet?
(9) Have you install the tubes yet? (NOTE: please push them in gentlly and with even pressure. Do not bend or"wiggle" the tubes in otherwise you may either bend the pins or crach the glass base).
(10) Have you install your fuse into the fuse holder yet?
