December 99 Week 5

Monday

December 27
This was typed after I watched the show, so it is not as detailed At the Bennett house, Grace has a nightmare about Sam and Ivy kissing. When Sam learns about it he suggest they not go to anymore Crane parties. Grace asks him if he is avoiding Ivy Crane for some reason? When Sam looks uneasy, she says she was only teasing. Grace tells Sam that she doesn't need Ivy Crane or her parties, all she needs is her family and friends.

Julian has locked Martin Fitzgerald in the basement, and brings him some breakfast. MArtin tells Julian that he can't keep him locked up here forever. Julian offers to call Luis, or better yet Sam and fill them in on the long list of crimes he's committed over the years. Martin tells him not to, and offers to leave Harmony for good. However, Julian says they tried that once before, and now he's just going to have to get comfortable down here.

At the Book Cafe, Gwen returns Ethan's Christmas gift, which was a necklace, and says she can't accept it until this mess with Theresa is resolved. When Gwen suggests that Theresa probably set the tree on fire to escape them, Ethan tells Gwen that she is going to far. Still, Gwen refuses to marry Ethan until she knows the truth about Theresa. The two take a walk, and Ethan comes up with the perfect plan to learn the truth about Theresa. He tells Gwen that he'll invite her and her boyfriend to spend New Years with them!

At the Lopez-Fitzgerald house, Theresa tells Whitney that she could have given Ethan her gift in person if it wasn't for Gwen. Whitney tries to convince Theresa that she is dreaming if she thinks she'll ever be with Ethan, but Theresa doesn't listen, as usual. Downstairs, Luis learns that his mom has bought presents for Antonio and Martin. She was hoping this would be the year that at least one of them would come home. Pilar heads off for work, and Sheridan shows up to give Luis a present. She gives him some slides she took in Spain because she knows how much he wants to go there some day. He is touched and thanks her, but says he doesn't have a gift for her. She tells him that he has made Harmony feel like home to her, which is the best present anyone could have given her. As they look at the slides, the two almost kiss, but a phone call interrupts. Sheridan decides to leave when Luis says it is Sam. Sam tells Luis that he just got word that Martin Fitzgerald got on a bus leaving Santa Fe and is heading for New England!

At the mansion, Ivy decides to plan a New Years Eve party. Julian tells her that he's getting sick of her entertaining the common people, but he says she can invite anyone she wants as long as the party is not in his house! Later, Ivy tells Pilar of her plans to throw a New Years Eve party. Pilar tells her that if she's thinking of inviting Sam Bennett she shouldn't bother because after that Christmas party of hers, Sam won't be attending any parties which she is giving or is invited to! Later, Ivy calls a friend and asks her to organize a New Years Eve party and invite the Bennetts and Russells, but she asks her to leave her name off the invitations and claim it is to celebrate Dr. Russells good work at the hospital. She also asks to be seated at the Bennett and Russell's table! Elsewhere, Pilar decides to return some tools to the basement, and is about to unlock the door and walk in on Martin!

Theresa and Whitney go to the Book Cafe and learn from Beth that Ethan and Gwen or on the outs. Theresa thinks fate is once again on her side and she dreams of spending New Years with Ethan. Suddenly, Ethan shows up, without Gwen, and asks Theresa what she is doing for New Years? Theresa says nothing yet, but she's hoping her boyfriend will ask her out. Ethan asks Theresa if she'd like to spend New Years with him? Theresa screams out "YES!" Ethan says great, and tells her to bring her boyfriend to the Seascape Restaurant and spend the evening with him and Gwen.

At Tabitha's house, Tabitha is busy tearing down and throwing out the Christmas decorations. Timmy shows up and decides to look through one of Tabitha's magic books to see if there is anything on anti-social cats. He soon finds that a number of pages in the back are blank. He asks Tabitha why, but she says she doesn't know. She tells him to go whip up a batch of MarTimmies for them, so he does. He returns with the Martimmies, but accidentally spills them on one of the books blank pages. Suddenly, the book catches fire, and writing appears on it. Tabitha reads the writing, which indicates that someone in Harmony will die on the first day of the 21st century. Tabitha is sure it will be Charity and she dances around her house.

At the Book Cafe, Theresa tells Ethan that she doesn't think she and her boyfriend can spend New Years with then. Ethan asks why not, doesn't she have a boyfriend? Theresa says of course she does, but things aren't cut-and-dry with him. Theresa says that she thinks more of their relationship than he does. Ethan hopes things work out for them, but he tells her that it is very important that she and her boyfriend spend New Years with him and Gwen so that Gwen will agree to marry him. Theresa agrees to help him by spending New Years with him and Gwen. Theresa just hopes her boyfriend will ask her out. Ethan says he'll invite him for her and asks Theresa for his name and number. Theresa says that is not necessary because she knows he will agree to go out with her.

Theresa and Whitney go back to Theresa's house, and Whitney tells Theresa that she has to throw in the towel and tell Ethan the truth. Theresa says she can't do that, and tells Whitney that she is going to that party with Ethan! Whitney tells her that she has lost it, but Theresa says she knows what she is doing. Theresa is positive that fate will save her once again, but Whitney is positive that she is headed for disaster.

At the Lopez-Fitzgerald house, Luis is looking at the slides Sheridan gave him and he can't stop thinking about her. Hank shows up and tells Luis that he heard that Martin may be heading this way. Hank asks him if there is anything he can do to help, or if there is anything he needs? Luis says all he needs is to find his father and get to the bottom of things. Hank doesn't understand why Martin would want to come back to Harmony and risk everything. Hank notices the slides and asks Luis where he got them, were they a Christmas present? Luis says someone who knew he wanted to go to Spain gave them to him. Hank tells him that it is a wonderful country, and he should take Beth there because it is the country of romance. Hank tells Luis that he and Beth are right for one another, just like he and Sheridan are right for one another. Luis asks Hank if he loves Sheridan? Hank says no, but he hopes to soon. He also hopes Sheridan will begin to love him as well. Hank even thinks that Sheridan showed up at Midnight Mass to see him! Hank thinks that perhaps Sheridan is really interested in him, but is playing hard to get. Luis tells him that he doesn't know because Sheridan doesn't seem like one who would play games and hide her feelings. However, Hank says there is nobody else Sheridan is interested in, and he refuses to let Sheridan Crane slip by him. Hank tells Luis that from now on it is an all out pursuit! Later, Hank asks Luis if he has a date for New Years? Luis says he does, he is throwing the kids at the center a millennium party. Hank thinks what he does for the kids is great, but he must want to share the New Year with a beautiful woman.

At the mansion, Alastair tells Julian that he is crazy for keeping Martin locked in the basement because Pilar could find him! Alastair can't believe how his son has botched this up so badly and tells Julian to fix it! Julian has to say goodbye when Ivy shows up to talk about New Years. Julian doesn't want to be bothered by Ivy, but she won't let up and wants to know what he is up to. She thinks it has something to do with Pilar, and he asks if he has seen her lately? Julian says no, and Ivy says the last time she saw her she was heading towards the basement.

In the basement, Pilar goes to unlock the door, and Martin thinks it must be Julian again. Martin realizes this might be his chance to escape, so he cuts the lights right before Pilar opens the door. However, before Pilar can spot Martin, Julian shows up and offers to put the tools away for her. Pilar asks Julian if he has heard from her husband, but he says no. Julian tells Pilar that she should forget about Martin and get on with her life, perhaps marry again. Pilar refuses and says she will stay faithful to MArtin until the day she dies. Julian says very well, and then tells her to stay clear from the basement from now on because he's working on something very important down here. After Pilar leaves, Julian tells Martin that if Pilar had seen him, Luis would have arrested him because there is a warrant out for his arrest! Martin begs Julian to let him go, but Julian says the police would spot him before he got very far. Martin says he can't stay here, but Julian tells him that he will leave when he says he will leave! Martin begs Julian not to leave him down here. Julian tells him to do as he says, and when the time is right he will sneak him out of Harmony. Julian leaves, and locks the door behind him. Martin looks through the tools that Pilar brought down and thinks they are his ticket to freedom. He uses the tools to try and break out of the storeroom.

Sheridan has misplaced her keys and is searching the living room for them. She runs into Pilar and tells her the good news about her nightmares, they are gone! Pilar is happy for Sheridan. They talk about Martin for a bit, and Pilar tells her that she doesn't think the man in Santa Fe was Martin, and she will never believe her husband was a thief. Sheridan asks Pilar to tell her about Martin? Pilar says all you have to do is look at Luis, they are both the same. When Sheridan says she'd like a man with the qualities Luis and Martin have, Pilar tells her Hank has those qualities and he is found of her. After Pilar leaves, Sheridan says that Hank is wonderful, but he's not Luis.

Pilar confronts Julian in his study about Martin's disappearance and his connection to the Cranes. She tells Julian that she doesn't believe Martin stole from Crane Industries. She tells Julian that she knows her husband will come home some day, and if it came out that the Crane's had something to do with his disappearance, Luis would explode and bring down the Cranes! Pilar has to leave to answer the door, and Julian realizes that he has to make sure Luis and Martin never see each other again.

Sheridan goes to the Book Cafe and runs into Ethan, who invites her to the Seascape Restaurant for New Years Eve to help him convince Gwen to marry him. Sheridan agrees, and Ethan tells her to bring a date with her. Sheridan doesn't know about bringing a date, but Ethan tells her to just think about the guy she'd like to be kissing when the clock strikes twelve. Sheridan thinks of Luis, and Ethan asks her who she is thinking of? Sheridan refuses to say who it is, so Ethan doesn't pressure her to confess. Ethan tells Sheridan to ask him out because no man would turn her down. Sheridan doesn't agree, but Ethan says there is only one way to find out. Ethan leaves, and then he calls Gwen and tells him that they are all set for New Years.

Luis and Hank show up at the Youth Center to work on the kids party. Sheridan also shows up and decides to ask Luis out, but sees he is with kids and says this isn't the right time. She ponders over whether or not she should ask him out or not. Sheridan decides to go ask him, and learns from a kid that Luis is fixing something in the storage closet. However, it is Hank who is in there, not Luis! Sheridan knocks on the door and asks "Luis" if he would go out with him on New Years Eve? Hank accepts, and when Luis learns Sheridan asked him out, he is hurt.

December 29
At the Crane mansion, Pilar is helping Ivy get ready for her New Years Eve party. Ivy notices that Pilar is upset? Pilar tells her that she confronted Julian and warned him that the truth about her husband would come out and have dire consequences for his family if he is lying. Ivy asks Pilar if Julian questioned her about her (Ivy) secrets? Pilar says no, and she is positive that her husband knows nothing about her past with Sam. Ivy thinks she is safe to keep pursuing Sam, but Pilar warns her that her husband will learn the truth soon if she keeps this up. Ivy thinks she can have her cake and eat it to, and she ignores Pilar's warnings. Ivy looks at the dress she plans to surprise Sam in on New Years. Pilar tells Ivy that Sam will never return to this house, not after what happened on Christmas. Ivy knows that which is why she has planned a little party for the Russells at the Seascape Restaurant, and she's made sure that the Russells are able to invite two guests, their very best friends the Bennetts. Pilar begs Ivy to call of this plan, but Ivy refuses because she is positive Sam will be hers. Pilar warns her that if Julian catches her with Sam, he will destroy them both. Ivy says she doesn't care if it kills her, she has to be with Sam. Later, Ivy learns that the Russells and the Bennetts have accepted her invitation to New Years Eve at the Seascape.

At the Bennett house, Kay thanks her parents for her super Christmas presents. Grace decides to go to the hospital to see if Eve wants to have lunch, so Sam offers to walk her out. Simone asks Kay why she is so happy lately, did her parents put her on anti- depressants? Kay tells her no, she's happy because she has Miguel. Simone asks her what she is talking about, Charity is with Miguel. Kay says that Charity may have won the battle during Christmas, but she will win the war on New Years. Kay says that she and Miguel will enter the videogame tournament again on New Years Eve, which Miguel holds at his house, and when they win, she and Miguel will share a kiss. Simone thinks that maybe her plan will work.

At the school, Chad shows up to TC and overhears him on the phone. He is down to learn that there is no news on Orville. TC tells him to hang in there, and not to let the past consume him. Later, Sam shows up and tells TC that Martin Fitzgerald may be headed back to Harmony. TC is shocked, and they both wonder why he would want to come back to Harmony and be burnt by the Cranes. Chad, who left to check on some equipment for TC, returns and tells TC that he's heading to the hospital to check on Orville. TC and Sam both decide to go with him.

At the hospital, Eve is in with Orville, who is still out cold. She is talking to TC on the phone. TC hopes Orville wakes up soon and can help Chad out. After their call ends, Orville wakes up and asks Eve why she is lying to her husband? He laughs and says he already knows the answer to that one. Eve says she doesn't lie to TC, but Orville knows she hasn't told her husband about her past and what she knows about Chad Harris. When Eve asks him what he means, Orville realizes that Eve really is clueless about Chad. He also realizes that "they" never told her. Eve asks him what he is talking about? She knows nothing about Chad other than what her husband and daughters have told her. Orville asks if that is all she knows, why was she hell-bent on keeping him away from her daughters? Eve says because he is a street kid and he of all people should understand why she would want to keep her kids from becoming involved with the wrong man. Eve asks Orville what he is trying to tell her about Chad Harris? Suddenly, Grace walks into the room and is happy to see that Orville is awake. She asks Orville if he can tell them about Chad's past? Orville asks her if he knows her? Grace introduces herself to him and hopes he can help Chad. Orville says he likes Chad and he realizes now that he's the only one who knows the truth about Chad. Grace asks Orville what he means? Orville says he knows his ABCs, and starts singing the alphabet song. Grace tells Eve that they were so close, but Eve is beginning to think Orville doesn't know anything. Later, Chad shows up and tells Orville, who is sleeping, to please tell him about his past. He says that the more he is in Harmony, the more he likes it and the people here. Chad admits that maybe it wouldn't be so bad to have a family here. However, he says if he has no connection to anyone in this town, he will leave. Orville doesn't wake up, so Chad realizes he has to wait for him to wake up again.

Out in the hall, Sam, Grace, Orville, and Eve talk about their plans for New Years, and how it doesn't involve the Cranes. Later, Grace receives a call from Ivy's friend about the doctor of the year award banquet they've arranged for her on New Years Eve. Eve is thrilled and invites Sam and Grace to join them at the Seascape, and they accept. Chad comes out in the hall and tells them all that Orville is out cold again and won't wake up.

At Tabitha's house, Tabitha's guests, Charity and Miguel, arrive for a visit. Timmy doesn't understand why she is inviting them over? Tabitha tells him that she has to make sure Charity and Miguel are out in public for New Years, because she thinks Charity will be the one who dies, and she wants her to take Miguel with her. Tabitha lets them in and thanks them for the decorations, but says she had to take them down so her wild kitty wouldn't break them. She asks them if they are planning anything big for the New Year? Miguel says that he and Kay usually just have videogame tournaments, but Tabitha says he can't leave Charity out of his plans this year. She tells him that Kay will probably want to be with her boyfriend, not playing videogames. Miguel thinks Tabitha might be right. Tabitha tells them both that they should go to a big party and have fun, and both Charity and Miguel think it is a good idea. Tabitha then remembers spending a New Years Eve with Rasputin, who gave her a Fabrigee Egg and told her about his plans to rid Mother Russia of the Romonaphs. Tabitha suggested he leave one of the members of the royal family alive to cause mischief for years to come. Miguel tells Charity that he'd like to be with her on New Years, but it is impossible. Miguel explains that he'd like to take Charity to the dance at the youth center, but Mrs. Bennett never lets Kay or Jessica go out to parties on New Years Eve, so he doubts she'll let Charity. Miguel tells Charity that they'll just have to hang out at his house, but Tabitha tells them that they simply must go out! Tabitha tells them that she'll speak to Grace for them.

Miguel and Charity go over to the Bennetts house, and Miguel tells Kay that he thinks she and Reese, and him and Charity, should all go out to a party on New Years Eve. Kay blurts out "No!" Miguel asks her what is wrong, doesn't she want to spend time with Reese? Kay says that she just knows her mom won't let them go out to a party, that's all. Outside, Tabitha finds Grace about to enter her house and stops her. She tells Grace that she spoke to Charity and Miguel earlier and they are both dying to go to the dance at the youth center for New Years Eve. Grace thinks it would be best if they just stay home, but she says she'll think about it. Grace goes inside, and Miguel asks Grace if they can go to the dance on New Years Eve? Grace decides to let them all go out for New Years this year, which pleases a spying Tabitha.

At the youth center, Luis seems hurt that Sheridan asked Hank out for New Years Eve. Hank tells Sheridan that she seemed surprise when he said yes, and he asks if she thought she was inviting someone else out for New Years? Sheridan looks at Luis, and then she tells Hank she knew she was asking him out. Hank is thrilled and says it is too bad Luis can't come along with them. Sheridan says Luis probably already has plans. Luis says he is chaperoning a party for the kids here. When Sheridan asks "You'll be alone?" Beth shows up and says he will be with her. Sheridan doesn't look pleased that Luis has a date. Beth asks Sheridan what she and Hank will be doing for the New Year? Sheridan says that she was invited to a party at the Seascape Restaurant. Hank just about flips when he hears that and says he better run out to get himself a tux.

Later, as Hank and Luis work on the decorations, Beth tells Sheridan that she hopes this New Years will be the beginning of something special for her and Luis. She goes on to tell Sheridan that her parents have always loved Luis, and Pilar loves her. Beth tells Sheridan that she and Luis belong together, but Luis doesn't know how she feels. Beth admits that she is only telling her this because she's not interested in Luis, and then jokes what it would be like if the two of them got together.

Meanwhile, Hank tells Luis that it is obvious that Sheridan likes him, and he asks him to give him a reason to steer clear of her. Luis tells Hank that he's changed his mind about Sheridan, she's not like the rest of the Cranes. He even admits that maybe he was wrong about the whole family. Hank hopes he kisses and makes up with the Cranes before they become his in-laws. Luis tells him not to get ahead of himself, Sheridan is a rich woman and is used to things that stiff like them can't get her. Hank doesn't think that money matters, only love does.

Later, Sheridan tells Luis that Beth is a wonderful person. Luis says she is a great person and its nice to know that even now he can still count on her to be there for him. Sheridan tries to explain about asking Hank out, but he interrupts and tells her that he knows they will have a great time together.

At Tabitha's house, Timmy is busy watching cartoons, and Tabitha is in a good mood because she is positive that Charity will die tonight. Timmy wonders how Tabitha will kill Charity? Tabitha tells him that she has something very creative in mind, she's going to decapitate Charity! Later, Tabitha receives a package from ACME supplies, where she orders all her equipment from, and when she opens it up, it's scythe! As Tabitha sharpens her blade, Timmy realizes that Tabitha orders her supplies from the same place that Wilde E Coyote does, and he tells her that she and Wild E are exactly the same, they both mess up all their schemes. He starts laughing, which doesn't please Tabitha. She pays him back by threatening to cut off his head. She then gives Timmy a costume to put on because he's going to help her tonight. When he returns, he is wearing a baby New Year costume! Tabitha shows up as the Grim Reaper and scars Timmy to death. She tells Timmy that they are going to the Youth Center to welcome the new year in with Charity and Miguel.

At the youth center, Whitney and Theresa are helping to prepare the center for the party. Whitney doesn't understand how Theresa can be so calm considering her life will end tonight when she walks into that restaurant. Theresa is still positive that fate is on her side.

The Bennetts and Russells are also helping decorate the center. Grace starts wondering about Sam's past before she meat him, and starts questioning him about his old loves. However, Sam tells her that he can't remember any of the women in his life before he met her. Later, Eve is disturbed to learn that Chad will be at the dance, and she scolds Whitney for lying to her. However, Whitney says she didn't know. Eve sees Chad with Simone and says that her sister apparently did! Eve begins to regret letting her kids come to this dance, so Whitney promises to keep an eye on Simone. Eve is glad to know that one of her daughters knows she raised them not to associate with boys like Chad. Whitney doesn't think Chad is dangerous, but Eve thinks that Simone is the perfect target for a guy like Chad.

When Sam and TC are alone, Sam urges TC to tell him why he hates Julian Crane so much because it might make him feel better. TC tells him maybe someday, but right now it just stings too much.

Miguel and Charity are happy that they will get to spend New Years Eve with one another. However, Kay assures Simone that come midnight, Miguel will be staring into her eyes, not Charity's! She even swears to give up on Miguel forever if he is not with her by midnight.

At the Crane Mansion, Gwen is happy to learn Sheridan is coming with her and Ethan tonight, and she asks her who her date is? Ethan tells Gwen that he told Sheridan to ask the man she wanted to be with at midnight. Sheridan tells Gwen and Ethan that she made a mistake and asked the guy's best friend out instead of the guy she wanted. After Ethan leaves to get his tux, Sheridan admits to Gwen that she really wanted to ask out Luis, but asked out Hank instead. Gwen is shocked, but Sheridan says Luis is old fashion and probably wouldn't have accepted anyways. Gwen thinks it is charming that Luis would want to take care of his wife, and not vice-versa. Sheridan realizes it is getting late and she has to change. She also says she wants to stop by the youth center dance before her date with Hank.

Elsewhere, Pilar warns Ivy that she will destroy her family if she persists with this plot to get Sam Bennett. Ivy feels like she is half a person without Sam, and can't going on living this way. Pilar tells her that she chose to marry Julian, but Ivy says she made a mistake and now she wants Sam back. Pilar asks her how she thinks Sam will feel when he realizes he was tricked by her again? Ivy doesn't think he will care because it will be a new beginning for them.

Julian, who is in his study, tells his dad, on the phone, that he will take care of Martin Fitzgerald tonight for good! Alastair tells Julian not to both things up again! Julian tells him that nothing will go wrong and he will call him after it's done. Julian pulls out a gun and says that he warned Martin not to come back here! In the basement, Martin finally breaks the door's lock! He goes up to Julian's study to search for money, but finds a gun instead!

Theresa and Whitney go back to Theresa's house, and Theresa gets ready for the party. Gwen calls to make sure that Theresa is still coming, and Theresa says she wouldn't miss it. Whitney tells Theresa that she needs to wake up because Gwen is out for blood.

Back at the mansion, Ethan tells Gwen that she looks beautiful and that they should forget the party tonight and elope. Gwen thinks that is very romantic, but she insist she prove to him and herself that she was right about Theresa all along.

Julian and Ivy get ready for the party, and Julian gives Pilar and the rest of the staff the night off with pay. Pilar says Ivy already gave her the night off so she can work the coatroom at the Seascape, but thanks him anyways. She also wonders what he is up to because he never gives staff a paid night off.

At the Bennetts, all the Bennett women, except for Jessica, are getting ready for their parties. Downstairs, all the guys are waiting in their tuxes for their dates. The girls come downstairs, and Jessica takes pictures of them. Jessica is not going out, instead she is planning to make a fortune babysitting. Reese tells Kay that she looks great, and when she asks Miguel what he thinks, Miguel walks by her and tells Charity that she looks so beautiful!

At the Seascape, Theresa shows up to see Ethan and Gwen, and she is alone! Gwen asks her where her boyfriend is, is he coming on his own later?

The Bennetts and Russells show up at the Seascape, and Eve is nervous about getting this award. Ivy and Julian also show up, and Julian is steamed to learn that he's sitting with Bennetts and Russells! Julian thinks this is his wife's doing, but she says it is all Milicent's work. Sam and the Russells are shocked to see Ivy and Julian, but Grace thinks it will be nice to ring in the new year with them.

Back at the youth center, Sheridan shows up in her gown bearing gifts. She's had a ton of catered food sent over as a gift to the kids. Luis thanks her and says the kids will appreciate it. Chad does a music test, so Hank and Beth, and Luis and Sheridan all dance. Hank wanted to dance with Beth because he wouldn't see her until the next century. Luis and Sheridan dance very close to one another and gaze into each others eyes. The song ends, and Hank has to leave to get dressed for the party. Sheridan tells him that she'll meet him at the restaurant. Hank takes off, and Luis doesn't want to keep Sheridan here any longer than need be. Sheridan tells Luis that she'd rather ring in the new year here. Luis asks her what she means? Sheridan says that she just thinks it would have been more fun being here. Sheridan says she better go, and she heads out of the center. Outside, Martin Fitzgerald kidnaps Sheridan and tells her to get in her car and drive!

Todays episode of Passions featured Timmy and Tabitha sitting at Tabitha's table in her living room discussing the events that have occured on Passions during its first year through flashbacks. 1
