Joker is a brindle 1/4 African male from my first litter.  He was purchased from me at 4 months old and went to live in Florida.  It was hard to see him leave because I considered him my snuggle puppy.  In the midst of heated puppy play he would stop, look around, find me and come bouncing over to snuggle down in my lap.  No matter which of the others would come over to entice him to come play he was perfectly happy to stay right where he was in my lap.

Joker was shown and has points but was retired from the show ring when it became apparent that he had inherited his mother’s dislike of showing.  Joker is the sire of AKC conformation champions, most notable Ch. Undercover Jike of Alabiss, a brindle bitch bred and owned by Gale Whitehurst.  At the Basenji Club of America National Specialty in 1994 Jike became the 2nd brindle bitch in the United States to win an Award of Merit. 

Joker is currently residing in Tennessee with Steve and Tammy Berry.
