Uniforms of the Napoleonic Wars

Images of uniforms  produced by HISTOREX
during the 1960's and 70's

The coloured images  come from the brush of M. Eugene Leliepvre and as cards, were included in the kits as an aid to painting. He was an Official Photographer to the French Army and was one of the people who encouraged the establishment of HISTOREX figures. The black and white line drawings also from M Leliepvre are from the catalogue.

I collected the coloured cards and catalogue in the 1970's and decided to  reproduce them now on the internet as a resource for modellers, historians and wargamers.

Thanks go to John Stalleart and Charles Haywood for additional colour plates.

The Historex kits  on display I have assembled and painted myself, over a 30 year period, stating in the late 1960's, then stopping for 35 years, until I resumed painting toy soldiers in the late 1990's. I will be regularly updating the sire, so keep checking what's new.
