| Midnight Flight | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Midnight Flight, a brand new fifty year old band! These guys have got a feel for the old,classic sound that bluegrass music should have. Their handling of the classic bluegrass is as good as it gets and they are constantly coming up with great, new originals that have that vintage feeling! The essence of these orignal tunes dovetails perfectly with the classic cover tunes they do. They have a commitment to their fans that compels them to continue producing first rate recorded music. These gentlemen have a stage show that is exciting and entertaining. Their music is alive! It's never stilted or jaded, there arrangements are tight, but they are not on autopilot, their is excitement about Midnight Flight that just has to be witnessed. A Midnight Flight show is as much for the band as it is for their audience,and it shows. The single microphone presentation of Midnight Flight is evidence of their deep respect for the early years of bluegrass music when performers like Bill Monroe, Flatt and Scruggs,The Stanley Brothers and Reno and Smiley were in their heyday. Back then the music was presented around a single microphone because it had to be. Midnight Flight's use of the single microphone produces a show that is as traditional as their music. You can imagine yourself in 1955 experiencing this thrilling music! Make no mistake about it, these fellows are on their way up in the bluegrass world! |
