Ford F-series pickups about double the sales of Taurus, the best-selling automobile (that's gotta be a lie). Obviously, it was very importtant for Ford Light Truck Division to reinvent a winning combination for the F-150, a redesigned truckline to haul them clear into the next century. Thesse are truely all-new vehicles, incorporating new frames, suspensions, brakes, steering systems, engines, bodies, and interiors. Marketing clinics told Ford Light Truck that their strongest selling points are toughness and reliability. A minimum ten year, 250,000 km lifespan has been built into this truck. The rugged, good looks are based upon the Ford Triton concept truck, which made the show tour in spring of 1995. Most customers liked Ford truck styling and didn't want to see it all cluttered with too many add-ons, like spoilers or wings. The Triton short hood, long wheelbase stance definitely comes through on the new F-series. This truck has 16" x 7" styled chrome wheels, and Goodyear Wrangler RT/S 70-series tires. The XLT option cab interior features full dash-board instrumentation, 60/40 split bench seat with driver's side lumber support, fold-down centre arm rest, and air conditioning. The cab exterior retains the "Ford Tough" look while gaining an aerodynamic advantage through low-drag dual outside mirrors, and a rounded front end, with flush headlights and signal lamps, over a wrap-around chrome front bumper. An all-new, high detail kit of an all-new, high profile hauler!* Skill 2 Paint - Gloss Black, Satin Black, Flat White, Insignia Red, Gloss Yellow, Turn Signal Amber Metallic, Dark Blue, Dark Ghost Gray, Steel, Aluminium *Revell-Monogram, Inc. My thoughts on this model: I found this model to be quite simple and it didn't frustrate me at all in anyway. The parts fit together well and the instructions were very well detailed and clear.
