Handles all business functions and administration of accounting, payroll, personnel management, accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchasing, timekeeping and budget preparation for PCCHD and its programs.

Educational materials/audiovisuals on health related topics available for loan.
Lasso Tobacco Pueblo - Comprehensive Tobacco Use Prevention and Control Program
Resource center for materials on teen pregnancy, substance abuse and sexually transmitted diseases/HIV/AIDS.

Vital Statistics 583-4555

Certified birth and death certificates issued.
Open daily 8:00 am-4:30 pm, fees charged for birth and death certificates.
Statistical information on births and causes of death are available.

Early Periodic Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT)/MEDICAID 583-4383

Health care outreach and case management services provided to recipients of Aid to Families with Dependent Children on Medicaid, ages birth to 21 and to participants in Baby Care/Kids Care program.

Family Planning Clinic 583-4380

Counseling includes all methods of birth control.
Physical examinations including pap smears, pregnancy and sexually transmitted disease testing.
Services provided for women and men. (By appointment, strictly confidential.)

Partners in Prenatal Services (PIPS) 583-4434

A prenatal program to help pregnant mothers obtain health resources at little or no cost.
PIPS provides and assists with:
Case management
Locating a doctor
Obtaining applications for Kids Care
Pregnancy testing
Prenatal education
Referral services to all agencies
Transportation

Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC) 583-4392

Provides vouchers for supplemental foods and nutritional education for pregnant or breastfeeding women, infants and children up to five years of age. Applicants must qualify for service.

Nursing Services 583-4346

Public health nurses provide preventive health care, health teaching and counseling to the public in clinics and in homes regarding the following services:
Adult/pediatric tuberculosis
Cleft lip and palate
Communicable diseases
Diabetes education
Genetic diagnosis and counseling
Health Care Program for Children with Special Needs
Healthy Start/KISS Program ( Medications, transportation)
International Travel Immunization clinic
Neurology clinic
Orthopedic rehabilitation
Sudden Infant Death Syndrome

HIV/AIDS Testing 583-4371

Counseling and blood testing for high risk individuals. This program serves all of Southeastern Colorado.

Immunization Clinic 583-4373

Immunizations include: Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Haemophilus, Hepatitis B (infants/occupational), Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Polio, Chickenpox , and International Travel.
Seasonal: Influenza and Pneumonia.
Walk-in or scheduled appointments available for babies, children and adults.

 

Pueblo Developmental Evaluation Clinic (PDEC) 583-4360

The Pueblo Developmental Evaluation Clinic is a multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, interagency, community-based, coordinated effort to provide comprehensive quality diagnostic evaluations. The clinic makes recommendations for services for children who have or are suspected of having complex delays related to a medical health concern. Age eligibility is: birth through 13 years of age; if on Medicaid birth to 21 years of age. The evaluation team includes: a developmental pediatrician, physical therapists, speech language specialists, audiologists, social workers, educators, psychologists, public health nurses, and a clinic coordinator. Call (719) 583-4360 for more information, to make a referral , or to make an appointment.

Well Child Clinic 583-4346

By appointment only. Ages birth to 20. Counseling, immunizations and physical exams.

International Travel Clinic 583-4363

This program provides education regarding vaccine preventable diseases and health related travel tips to individuals traveling outside of the United States. This includes a health history assessment and administration of required or recommended vaccinations. Appointments are required and it is recommended that you schedule an appointment three months prior to the planned trip. Payment is required at the time of service.

La Familia Fuerte/Strong Families 583-4562

An outreach and home visitation program that provides services to families with children under age three in the Fountain/Bradford neighborhoods. This project helps families receive support and community services through a home visitor, public health nurse and outreach coordinator. This is a joint venture of Bradford Elementary School, Parkview Episcopal Medical Center, St. Mary Corwin Regional Medical Center, Pueblo City-County Health Department, School District #60 and numerous other caring community agencies.

Laboratory 583-4318

Certified laboratory providing support services to 16 regional counties and Health Department programs and clinics. Analysis of drinking water supplies, swimming pools, milk and dairy products, food samples,and meat samples. Tests performed for sexually transmitted diseases.
