Phaedra Cinema released FEVER PITCH in the US on October 15 1999, in New York City. Wide release unfortunately did not follow.

The PAL region 2 DVD version of Fever Pitch is available from UK sources such as BlackStar, or DVD World.


The region 1 DVD version of Fever Pitch has an embarrassing poxy cover. Available from Amazon and other US sources. If you want a better cover get the Canadian region 1 version from Videoflicks.

Nick Hornby Interviews and links

Hugh Grant plays the lead in the movie version of About a Boy - "the story of a cynical, immature young man who is taught how to act like a grown-up by a little boy".

Official High Fidelity movie site. The film premiered in Hollywood on 28 March 2000. This Americanised version of Hornby's book has been set and filmed in Chicago, the screenplay co-written by John Cusack (Grosse Pointe Blank), who also stars.
