New Toy Story 2/Pixar Details
The Insider has uncovered a document about Pixar's expected releases after the impending A Bug's Life as well as the status of the CGI-animation studio's deal with Disney. The report, which found its way into the hands of yours truly through a source that will remain anonymous, pegs the release date of Toy Story 2 at "late 1999 at the earliest," leaving open the possibility that the movie may end up opening in 2000 (although the Insider doesn't believe that this admission necessarily means that Pixar won't hit the holiday '99 target).
Furthermore, despite nearly two years of development, the document reveals that the untitled fourth Pixar CGI-animated film (referred to simply as "Film Four") has yet to obtain a clear commitment. Neither Pixar nor Disney "have approved the story treatment and budget as required under the Co-Production Agreement," according to the paper. Production on Film Four "has not yet begun" and its release is not expected "until the end of 2000 at the earliest."
A side-note that the Insider found interesting concerned the manner in which Disney and Pixar are reconciling the different productions to the development deal that was entered into between the two companies in February 1997. In that agreement, Pixar agrees to produce five films to feed Disney's distribution machine over the next 10 years, yet only A Bug's Life and Film Four will count against this commitment, with Toy Story 2 being excluded from the tally.

Hey, if you want to see the brand new trailer for A Bug's Life then go see Dr. Dolittle. The trailer was amazing. It showed alot more scenes from the movie. If you don't want to see Dr. Dolittle ( which I must say is a very funny movie, especially Chris Rock's Rodney the guinea pig) then a trailer will probably show up on the internet in a couple of weeks. Sorry for the long break but news is very slow now but I have what is supposed to be the very first pic from Toy Story 2, but it is speculated that the pic could be from a new Toy Story video game being shown at E3. See for yourslef here. Also, Mattel will be taking over manufacturing duties on Toy Story toys which had been previously made by Thinkway toys. You can see the brand new toys here. Mattel will also be making the toys for A Bug's Life and Toy Story 2.

The Toy Story sequel which was slated for an October direct-to-video release has been shelved for the moment and will come to theaters instead, but not until Nov. 24, 1999. In the future this page will be the best source for Toy Story 2 news, but infromation is very hard to come by now.

Toy Story is the world's first fully computer animated motion picture from Pixar animation. It takes place in the peaceful place of Andy's Room. Woody, a pull-string cowboy, is Andy's favorite toy. On Andy's Birthday the toys have a staff meeting to discuss the upcoming move to the new house. Andy gets a brand new toy for his birthday, a Buzz Lightyear action figure. Buzz doesn't know that he is a toy but he thinks he is a real space ranger. After Woody knocks Buzz out the window they get lost at Pizza Planet and the toy-torturing neighbor Sid grabs them. Now the two must come together to escape Sid and get to Andy before the moving truck leaves. Can they make it in time? You'll have to see the movie to find out. Directed by John Lasseter and with the music of grammy-winning Randy Newman, Toy Story is a movie you will never forget.
Toy Story 2
Toy Story 2 is the sequel to the box-office blocbuster. In the new movie Andy goes off to summer camp leaving the toys get by wothout him. Excitement begins when Woody is kidnapped by the obsessed toy collector Al who thinks he is a highly valued collectible. Buzz and the rest and the rest of the gang set out to rescue him. The sequel will still have the same toys and cast as the last film . It will have some new characters like Mrs. Potato Head, Emperor Zurg, possibly Andy's puppy, and Woody's horse named Bullseye. Some new stars will join the show like Joan Cusack, Wayne Knight, Estelle Harris, and David Odgen Stiers.

During the Staff Meeting, in the background is a bookshelf. On that bookshelf are several books with the names of prevoius Pixar works.One is Tin Toy. Tin Toy was Pixar's Academy Award winning animated short.Other books on the shelf are: Knicknack (Another Pixar short film), Ant and Bee go on a Vacation, Scooter Run, Feet First, Help the Planet, Pale Cowboy from Texas, and the Boy Scout Handbook.
The Brand Name on Sid's tool box is Binford, which is the same company that sponsers Tim Allen's fictional show Tool Time on Home Improvement.
The top of Syd's backpack reads ``Julie Macbarfle has cooties!'', a reference to camera manager Julie M. McDonald, who lobbied people to put her name in the film. ``Juju's house of food'' is another reference to her.
Rex uses a few of George McFly's lines from Back to the Future (1985): ``I don't like confrontations''and ``I don't think I could take that kind of rejection.
When Andy's Sister is in the car, listen in the background for the song Hakuna Matata.
