Hidden Mickey’s on the Walt Disney World CD-Rom

If you reading this, you probably have, or are planning on getting the Walt Disney World CD-ROM Explorer. Hidden in the various pictures that are through this wonderful CD-ROM are what are called "Hidden Mickey’s". While moving the mouse (Tinkerbell) over the various pictures on your screen, occasionally her wand may "sparkle with pixie dust" If you click there, you MAY have found a Hidden Mickey! Send Rob e-mail if you find a Hidden Mickey! If you find 10 Hidden Mickey's (out of a possible 24) the instruction book claims you will get a surprise!

It was just brought to my attention (on 1/19/97 by Allen Huffman) that at the end of the "readme.wri" file on the CD-Rom that there are Hidden Mickey’s on 24 (not 25) sites on the CD.
This means thanks to all of you, we now have them all!

Q. I'm having trouble finding the Hidden Mickey’s. What should I look for?
A. You should be looking for small graphic overlays in the shape of Mickey's silhouette that are hidden on the last photo of the opening slide show within twenty-four different sites.

    I was recently asked by a surfer from Alaska if WDW Explorer works under WinXP and I dusted off my copy and installed and it ran GREAT! Just remember, this was on my machine, “Your Mileage may vary” <grin>

B. Not a Hidden Mickey, but Tinkerbells wand Sparkles when pointed here as of 9/29/96

1. Tower of Terror-backstage-in the foreground on the right there is a guy in a white t-shirt. CONFIRMED: ROB COLLIER 09 SEPT. 96

2. It's a Small World-backstage-near girl with long brown hair in boat, near the bottom of her hair. CONFIRMED: ROB COLLIER 09 SEPT. 96

3. It's a Small World-more stuff-On the back of the seat the person is seating on with their elbow hanging over. CONFIRMED: ROB COLLIER 09 SEPT. 96

4.Snow White's adventure-below the bar on Happy's car, on the area where the Wicked Queen is standing. CONFIRMED: ROB COLLIER 09 SEPT. 96

C. "Decor" hidden or in plain view Mickey on the CD-ROM

(Finding these will NOT be counted toward the surprise.)

1. There is a decor Hidden Mickey in one of the pictures of the Animation Studios at MGM Studios with the stuffed Mickey on top of the cabinets.CONFIRMED "B" 02 OCT 96

2. There is a decor Hidden Mickey in a picture about EPCOT Center with a magazine entitled "Epcot Center is Open" with a picture of Walt and there is a decor Mickey on it.(Kind of confusing, sorry)CONFIRMED "B" 02 OCT 96

3. Cranium Command backstage there is a picture of a lady sitting on a chair and her jacket is on the back of the chair. This shows a decor Mickey on the jacket entitled "Disney Imagineering."CONFIRMED "B" 02 OCT 96

4. There is a decor Hidden Mickey in the Entertainment-Future World of those trashcan drummers/entertainers. If you see that the hidden mickey is made up of the big trashcan/drum and then two smaller trashcans/drums surround the big one.

5. There is also one in the Tower of Terror-Backstage (I beleive first picture) where they kind of show a elevator shaft with a big Hidden Mickey on the side. This decor Hidden Mickey is pretty big and very noticable. CONFIRMED "B" 02 OCT 96

7. The cover of course is a Hidden Mickey with the three circles. CONFIRMED: "B" 30 SEP 96

8. On the right side of the box to the left of the Tours of the World sign there is a sign with a Hidden Mickey on top of it. CONFIRMED: "B" 30 SEP 96

9. We all see on the back cover the earful towers! CONFIRMED: "B" 30 SEP 96

10. On the back cover, there is a Hidden Mickey to the right and in back on Cinderella Castle. It is made up of 3 tents, looks like portraying Mickey's Toontown Fair. CONFIRMED: "B" 30 SEP 96

11. In the 2nd picture for Cinderella Carousel ride has a little boy wearing a Mickey on his light blue sweatshirt. CONFIRMED: "B" 03 OCT 96

12. In the last picture of Splash Mt. there are two people watching people go down the ride. (Their backs are facing us) They are wearing t-shirts with a mickey silohouette picture on the back. CONFIRMED: "B" 03 OCT 96

Hidden Mickey’s you can't click on!
There have been reports that during certian scenes with multiple pictures, people are finding a hidden mickey, but, since all the "clickable" Hidden Mickey’s have always been on the last picture in a series, you cannot click on them. Keep on searching, and I'll keep on posting! Thanks for all the feedback!

1.I was just wondering if you had seen the hidden Mickey on the fourth screen of the "Coming Attractions." It is the picture right before the picture of the new sports complex with all the baseball fields. CONFIRMED BOB OKEY 14 OCT 96

2.I believe I found a hidden Mickey. The problem is you can't click on it. Its in the "Disney Institute" section. There is a series of 4 images. The Hidden Mickey is in the third of the four images. CONFIRMED Geoffrey Clements 16 OCT 96
