Appearing at a "Guess-the-Weight" contest at a county fair, the hero of the story meets a wise man named Farmer Hoggett. From their first look into one anothers eyes there was an instant kinship. When Hoggett the next day is greeted with a phone call telling him of his winnings, he collects the pig and plans begin to form and unravel. All intentions by the Farmer and his wife lead to this little pig being the main course at an annual Family Event.<BR><BR> <IMG SRC="W-Babe.gif" WIDTH=62 HEIGHT=50 BORDER=0>ith no place to call home and noone to call mother, the farm's generous and loving sheepdog, Fly, takes this little pig who she names Babe under her wings and gives him the care that he needs.<BR><BR> <IMG SRC="T-Babe.gif" WIDTH=38 HEIGHT=49 BORDER=0>hroughout the film, we learn of the natural order in a miniature society of animals should be played, but Babe challenges his place in the order and accomplishes a great many task. In wanting to become a full-fledged sheep dog, Babe learns that the sheep, who fear the sheep dogs(wolves as they call them), respond best to kindness and sincerity which Babe provides.<BR><BR> <IMG SRC="F-Babe.gif" WIDTH=37 HEIGHT=60 BORDER=0>rom start to finish, this film put me in total awe. The visual effects, cinematography, art direction, set design and music helped the film to achieve a reality that few films these days can achieve. <BR><BR> <IMG SRC="I-Babe.gif" WIDTH=32 HEIGHT=49 BORDER=0>n all reality, the truly best picture of the year was this, a film about challenging society and finding the place where you belong, despite society standards keeping you from realizing your full potential.
