Recently arrived from the USA, is 'Clash', now Aust Ch. Stonehaven's London Calling (Imp USA).
Look at his excellent reach and drive! this is what an Aussie should move like!  With very limited showing he has been awarded 'Multiple Group' awards and 'In Show'. In the USA he was: 'Select in Futurity' class at the 2006 USASA National Specials.  Clash obtained his Australian Champion title with ease finishing with three BOB's over the same weekend. Mid way through 2008 Clash is Nationally the No.3 Australian Shepherd. Watch more of this boy at a Show near you!

Thank you to Jeff Margeson and Chris Dale from Stonehaven Kennels for allowing Clash to come to Australia with me.

Les was a partner in the Sugargum Kennel with Robyn where many splendid dogs were imported and bred.  Clearun will continue to exhibit and produce "Aussies" who exhibit the wonderful qualities of the breed, both in Conformation and Temperament, while Robyn continues with the Sugargum prefix.

Watch for the Best In Show page, currently under construction; also check out Elle in the Strike litter page, & don't forget the News! page,  Grand Champions in the making!!

I have been involved with German Shepherds since 1977 competing in Obedience, Conformation and Agility.  I was fortunate to have great dogs, with five earning Utility Dog titles and four Agility titles (in the days when you could only get one title per dog) as well as being awarded many BIS and many Excellent Medallions at German Shepherd Specialty Shows and Best In Trial at Melbourne Royal Shows.

My interest with Aussies was kindled after reading an article in the AKC gazette during 1993.  The appearance of the Aussie and their working versatility, and temperament is what attracted me to them.  After investigating what dogs were in Australia, I decided to import from the USA.   Over the past few years I have imported quality dogs to widen the available gene pool.  As a result of our breeding has had resounding success with many dogs obtaining Grand Champion titles, Dual Obedience Champion titles, Herding, Flyball and Agility titles.  I have the first Australian Shepherds to be approved as Therapy Dogs.

The temperament of all Clearun & Sugargum dogs is friendly and outgoing to both humans and dogs and an inspection is welcome at any time.  It is important to improve the breed, much thought has gone into the breeding program, I carefully monitor the growing litters before breeding with any of the parents again.  I believe in quality, not quantity.

I would also like to thank the many people who have purchased  dogs and participated in the various events obtaining titles and enjoying the companionship of this wonderful breed.
