"And God said, 'Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth according to their kinds.' . . . And God saw that it was good."
-Genesis 1:24-25

I'm called Animal Woman because of my love for animals. This page focuses on finding the right homes for homeless pets, the spaying and neutering of pets, and the promotion of responsible breeding. After all, animals are God's creatures just as we are. They give us love, loyalty, and comfort. Therefore, they should be properly taken care of and none should be without a home.

Say hello to Chip Chip my guardian prairie dog. You can click on Chip Chip to visit him and learn all about prairie dogs or you can click on his link near the end of this page.

The links below lead to pages featuring animals in need of homes. Some links will connect you to the website for the PAWS and More animal shelter in Washington, Iowa, a private, no-kill shelter supported entirely by donations from people who love and respect our animal companions. The Shelter is run by the Washington Humane Society. Some links lead to good websites for one who is looking to adopt/rescue an animal. Others, such as the soapbox and tribute pages, are my own. I am solely responsible for the content of those particular pages.
Please come back to visit often! Updates are done as regularly as possible.

Rescue Pages, Responsible Breeders, and Informational Sites
Many of these links go to sites belonging to people I consider very trustworthy; however some are merely informational sites I've found while websurfing. I HATE to have to put a disclaimer here, but I discovered someone who had asked me to add a link was NOT what they represented themselves to be. To the best of my knowledge, ALL these links lead to reputable websites and organizations, but I do not accept any legal responsiblity for them. WHEW!

When you see rainbows on my pages, they are in memory
of my sweet human rainbow child, Michael Benjamin, born and died May 13,
1986. I know he would have loved animals as much as his dad and I do.

| Spay and neuter your companion animals. Leave breeding
to responsible, knowledgeable breeders. Every year an estimated fifteen
million fine dogs and cats are euthanized in America. This is no way to
treat our best friends, so when it's time to adopt a new family member,
go to a shelter and SAVE A LIFE.
