THE WHITEAKER PAGE
DANIEL WHITEAKER served in the war of 1812 in the service of Capt. Bell's and Capt. Girt's Companies, Ohio Militia.
WILLIAM WHITTAKER served in the Civil War in Company H of the 44th Regiment of the Wisconsin Infantry.
Older records show the name Whiteaker spelled in a variety of ways. We know that "William Whittaker" and William "Whiteaker" are the same person from the 1890 Veteran's census which lists wife Eliza, widow of William Whiteaker.
