General information about the Province of Ostroleka

Poland is administered locally through a system of 49 provinces; each province is named after the town from which it is administered. Provinces are divided into towns and communes and are administered by local governors and provincial assemblies. Members of the provincial assemblies are chosen by elected councils representing the towns and communes.
