WATERS ---I have been searching for my ancestor who is also my brick wall. He is John W. WATERS b.1720 in Beaufort Co., NC. After all this time of searching I am not 100% certain that this is his true name. Accordingly, he was supposed to have had two sons. The oldest was John Calvin WATERS b. 1740 and another, Isaac WATERS b. 1770. John W. moved to GA in 1760 and some years later moved back to Beaufort Co., NC where he died in 1775. There is some confusion about the second son Isaac. I believe that John W. had another wife, later, after he moved back to NC. From information that I have seen, I believe that there were two Isaac's born in 1770. One from John W. WATERS and the other from another Isaac WATERS born in 1750. The reason I say this is because the listing of the children for the two 1770 Isaac's are different along with other differences like the name of the wives. Any information to help clear up this mystery is welcome. Besides the problem with the Isaac's I would like to know of any siblings and the parents of John W. WATERS. I will share anything I have.

ACCORDIAN, ALLIGOOD, CRADDOCK(CRATWICK), EVANS, JONES, KEECH, MARTIN,
SKITTLE(THARP)(THARPE)(THORP)(THORPE), SWINDELL, WALLACE, WOOLARD. - I am researching listed familys with whom I have ties. I am descended from Coleman WOOLARD(late 1700),m:Elizabeth ? and Thomas SKITTLETHORPE(ABT 1798 in NC),m:Zarah JONES. My mother was Mary Gertrude SKITTLETHORPE(1897-1977), daughter of James Demato SKITTLETHARPE(1863-1913) & Susan Olivia WOOLARD SKITTLETHARPE(?-1909). Susan Olivia's father was Elias Hutchins
WOOLARD(?-?),m: Susan Ellen(CORD(I)ON)(?-?). The WOOLARD farm was located north of Bath in the Dismal Swamp area.
My mother's brother was William T."Will" SKITTLETHARPE who was a tug boat pilot as a young man in the Pamlico Sound area before he migrated to the Norfolk, Va. area where he became a maritime sea captain. He,later, was the Captain of the SEA LEVEL, the new car ferry that ran between Atlantic and Okracoke(1960). All of the above familys were located in and around Bath and
Washington in Beaufort Co. and near counties.
I have a lot of data but, I also have a lot of questions. Does anyone out there have any answers?

JARRELL - I don't really know for sure. My Mother told me the family (his son Edwin)
came from the Morehead City/New Bern area of North Carolina. I know there is
a Ruben Jarrell documented in the 1860 Census in Beaufort Co., Chocowinity,
and there is a Reuben Jarrell in the 1840 census of Craven Co., N. Side Neuse
River. This is about all I know. If it is the correct Reuben/Ruben/Rubon, he
would have had a son, Edwin Jarrell, b. abt. 1844, m. Ethelanda Kenyon and had another family with Nancy J. Barnhill, b. July 1840, d. Abt. 1929. Hope you have some answers!!
