1796.0224--The Session book of the Associate Congregation of Kinross which was created on the 24th day of Feb. 1796...(the date the Presbytery of Kirkcaldy met and accepted the petition to disjoin the Orwell congregation)...the petition headed by elders, William Bell and Peter Robertson included the following signatures (I didn't copy all 160, only those of interest to me): John Robertson, Isable Young, Margaret Tod, Agnes Robertson, Cathering Young, James Robertson, Michael Hutchison, Catherine Beveridge, Elizabeth Imrie, William Young, Archibald Young, Alexander Stalker, John Thomson, Joseph Thomson, James Thomson, Robert Morison, Isabel Beveridge, Elisabeth Christy, Isabel Robertson, Susan Marshall, Euphane Robertson, Alex Imrie, Mary Imrie, James Christie, Margaret Young, James Marshall, James Murdoch, William Christian, James Young, Catherine Stalker, James Stark, Jannet Beveridge, Isabel Murdoch, May Brown, John Brown, James Thomson, Betty Thomson, William White, Helen White, Billy Imrie, William Beveridge, Nellie Beveridge, William Deas...a total of 160 attested by the two elders as being in full Communion. The minister from ORwell did not see cause to refuse transmission but he was "not clear that the friends at Kinross had a present call in Providence for the step they were about to take."
1796.0410--Kinross, The Presbytery of Kirkcaldy having appointed Mr. Black of Dumfermline to preach here today and constitute the session with the elders who were disjoined last meeting...the session met in Peter Robertson's house and were constituted with prayer by Mr. Black, moderator sederunt...(after general business) Peter Robertson represented to the session that Margaret Young was in circumstances requiring assistance from the session which they agreed to give occasionally as able. (Margaret would be given poor relief as the funds became available.)

Contrasting cases of ante-nuptial fornication: 1839.0722, Kinross--Ann Robertson was brought before the session for the sin of fornication, being with child. Alexander Nicol, servant at New Fargie, was said to be the father of the child.
1839.0909, Kinross--Alex Nicol was brought before the session.
1839.0915, Kinross--Both parties were restored to communion.
1841.0830, Kinross--Catherine Robertson was brought before the session for fornication with Robert Graham, weaver in Kinross.
1841.1024, Kinross--The parties were restored to communion.
