Fannie Bright KILPATRICK is my great grandmother. Because of so many intermarriages between the PARROTT, MEWBORN, and the HARDY families, things can get a little confusing when trying to figure out the multiple relationships. Good Luck, and I hope these charts help. I have only been able to prove John and Charity Hardy down.

"The roots of the North Carolina family extend from Chowan and New Bern in about 1695, back through VA to the old country. The beginning of the family goes back to Anthon Hardy, I of Pembroke, Wales, b. 1605, d. 1665. He had a son, John Noble or Noble Worthington Hardy, b. in 1638, at Pembroke, Wales, who moved to Dorchestershire, England. He is credited with four sons, all of whom are said to have come to America prior to 1695. They were John, Thomas, Joseph, and Anthony Hardy. It is not known whether Thomas or Joseph had any children or came to North Carolina. "PAGES 3,4 of THE EASTERN NORTH CAROLINA HARDY/HARDEE FAMILY IN THE SOUTH AND SOUTH WEST by David HARDY
