The Forest View - Gang Mills Fire Department is an all-volunteer organization, staffed by men and women, who provide the community with 24-hour fire and rescue protection for most of the Town of Erwin, NY. The Department protects an area of approximately 20 square miles, including approximately 1,500 homes, 8 Corning Incorporated facilities, as well as a host of other retail and manufacturing facilities. In the past three years, the Department has responded to an average of 190 calls per year.The Department responded to 198 for the year 2009.
