What's to say about us ?

We are a couple of cat enthusiasts living in Austria in a rural village south of beautiful city Vienna in the middle of beautiful vine yards. Both we are working in telecommunications and in cats.

KARL

I am project manager for outsourcing of network installations, a job which leads me to a lot of different countries and cultures all over the world.

In cats I'm since I merried Eveline. She brought six neutered red tabby Persians into my life. As I thought to do my own breeding program we decided to go into Ocicats. Meanwhile we have more than 7 Ocicats, who keep us quite busy, as this breed is very vigorous and always surprising us with their new ideas.

Since 1991 I'm president of KKÖ, Austria's first cat fanciers' club, one of FIFe's first members. I am also judge for shorthair, siamese and orientals, I enjoy to handle cats very much.

That's me

At least I found a picture.

EVELINE

I work in quality assurance for telecommunications programs, mainly developed for public telephone services of telecom companies all over the world.

In cats I'm for nearly 20 years. I started with red tabby Persians - tabby cats are still my favorites. When we got our first Ocicats our Persians, which changed meanwhile to their shorthaired version the Exotics, got as healthy and fit as they never had been before.

Just to have cats and breeding them was not enough for me, because I was very interested to know more about the various breeds of the cats. Therefore I started in 1990 with my judge career and now I'm a FIFe allbreed judge.

WE

We like cats.
Meanwhile we have stopped breeding Ocicats, because we have reached here everything what we could reach.
We have put now our effort in breeding healthy, strong and large Exotic and Persians. We think that breeders have gone sometimes a bit too far in their breeding programs. And so we find it a challenging program to improve the Exotic and Persians, concerning their bone structure and health.

Our plans for the future are simple:

  • to promote the European Ocicats
  • to breed exotics of moderate type, which are healthy and have a strong bone structure.

OUR CATS

Our Exotics

We only use PKD negative cats in our breeding program.

We had a very tough time, when we tested all our Exotics and Persians for PKD.
And it turned out that more than 60% had been PKD positive.
Our best cats which we wanted to use for breeding, had been PKD positive.
The consequence was clear, to neuter and spay all those PKD positive cats.
So we had to redo all our breeding plans and have got many neuters and spays more, and have left very few cats for breeding.
