May Senior Gifts
May is Adopt-A-Senior Month, and a handful of special people decided they'd like to make adopting a senior greyhound even more special by donating gifts to anyone who adopts a senior during the month of May!
- Greycoach Inn will donate a gate sign, custom designed by Greycoach Inn, to anyone who adopts a Senior in May. Signs are heavy duty laminated with four holes so they can mount on any type of gate. Adopters need to contact Donna at jimanddonna@insightbb.com.
- Kerry McMullen wrote, "I just visited your site devoted to seniors. I would like to donate jammies to anyone adopting a senior in May. Adopters need to send me their dog's name, a bit about their dog, and their snail addy." - Cindy Brooks, Northwest Canadian Greyhound League, will make a fancy nylon martingale collar for the first 10 seniors adopted in May and a plain nylon martingale for every senior adopted after that in May. Contact her at koenenb@telusplanet.net with your senior's neck measurement, your mailing address, and your senior's name.
- Teddy in Tulsa has surprises for those folks who adopt a senior greyhound (8 or older) during the month of May. Contact her at Greytmamma@aol.com with your info, your pup's info, and the name of the group from which you adopted.
- Kathy Walsh wrote, "I'll donate a bracelet with sterling silver greyhound charm. Winner gets to pick size & type of stones to make the bracelet. Have anyone who adopts in May send me the name & age of their grey, and on June 10th, the winner will be picked.
This is in honor of my first senior, who is now a Bridge Angel."
- Megan Robertson, Val's Pajamas, wrote "Count me in for a free coat for the first 10 and then a hefty discount for another 10. These are plain fleece coats/jammies (no prints) in polartec 300 fleece, the nicest and snuggly-est..."
- Lisa Precht, Chloe's Comforts, will donate a custom-made coat to any senior Greyhound adopted during the month of May.

- Majestic Collars would like to donate a 1.5" collar to the first 5 people who adopt a senior. We will match them with a collar that will look great on their new senior. Majestic Collars will also give a $5 discount on a collar of your choice to the next 10 senior dogs adopted. Adopters need to email Anne and give her the name of their group, the phone number of their adoption rep, the name, color, and age of the dog adopted, and their names and address for mailing.
Year 'round Senior Gifts
- Heart of Texas Greyhound Adoption Inc. will donate a Greyhound necklace (for hounds, not people) to anyone adopting a senior, age 7 and over, at any time during the year. Contact Cheryl King with your new Greyhound's sex and color to receive your gift.
- Suzanne Palmer, SuzieQ Designs, wrote, "I'll donate a Snuggler to any senior, 10 years or older, adopted during the entire year." See her website, www.suzieqdesigns.com, for guidelines. Note from webmaster: DONATIONS ARE SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTIFICATION.
- The Greyhound Project donates the current issue of their magazine, Celebrating Greyhounds, to anyone who adopts a senior or special needs greyhound, throughout the year. Contact Groups@adopt-a-greyhound.org to receive your gift.
