Creating Christmas Ornaments

I've included a zip which contains everything you will need for this tutorial. Just unzip it into your PSP6 tubes folder.

1. Open a new image 250 X 250 with a Transparent Background 

2. Choose your SELECTION TOOL and set it to CIRCLE, with ANTI ALIAS checked.


3. Locate the center of your image (125,125) and draw a circle.


4. Choose your flood fill bucket and set it
to solid color or pattern,
whichever you will be using to flood fill. Flood fill the center of your circle.

 

5. With your selection tool still chosen,
go SELECTION, SAVE TO
ALPHA CHANNEL,click OK
on both pop-up menus.
This saves the exact image dimensions. 

6. Desselect the Circle. 

7. Add a new Layer (Raster in PSP6) 

8. On the new layer place your tube (xsanta) or
image in the center.

 

9. Choose LAYERS/MERGE/MERGE VISIBLE 

10. Go to SELECT/LOAD FROM ALPHA CHANNEL
and click OK. 

11 .Choose IMAGE/DEFORMATION/PUNCH and
apply 9% punch. 

12. Desselect the circle, and bring
up your BUBBLE TUBE (XmasBubble2) 

13. Add a NEW LAYER and place
your bubble in the center
of your ornament. 

14. Choose the DEFORMATION TOOL,

to stretch the bubble to fit the entire ornament.

 

15. Choose LAYERS/MERGE/MERGE VISIBLE. 

16. Open a new image 325 X 325
with a transparent background. 

17. Now copy and paste your
ornament as a NEW LAYER in the
NEW IMAGE and positon it towards
the bottom. 

18. Add a NEW LAYER. 

19. Open the CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT TOP TUBE
and apply it to the
top of the ornament,  

***HINT- If you want to change the
color of your ornament top
Choose COLOR/COLORIZE and choose
color you would like to use.****

 

19.Now you can add your TEXT. 20.Choose LAYERS/MERGE.MERGE VISIBLE. 

21.Now you have a Christmas Ornament Tube!

 

22. Choose FILE/EXPORT/PICTURE TUBE and name your tube.
