affection with the flick of his tail than a man can

Boo
Boo is a young 15 pound Lhasa Apso mix who gets his name from his beautiful all -white coat. The pictures aren't wrong - he has one blue eye and one brown eye. Boo is a big lap dog who also enjoys playing with toys. He will play by himself by tossing a toy up in the air and then retrieving it. When his foster mom comes home from work, she will throw the tennis ball or squeekie toy for him to chase for about 30 minutes, then he is content to sit on her lap for the rest of the night! Boo leans more towards an alpha personality, and the other dogs in his foster home go along with the program! He doesn't mind people touching his food, but prefers not to share it with the dogs. Boo would be a great companion in a calm household. Boo went up to the cat in his foster home to sniff her, but then she swatted at him so he went back to his foster mom and laid down. He is housetrained.
All of our pets are fostered in homes in and around the Charlottesville, Va area. Adoption fee is $175 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Mocha-adopted
Mocha is a 1 year old purebred smooth miniature chocolate dapple dachshund who weighs about 10 pounds. She gets on well with dogs of all sizes and is fine with cats. Mocha loves to snuggle on the couch or under the covers. She will always greet you at the door with a wagging tail and a desire to be petted. She loves to be near you and see what you are doing. Exploring the back yard is great fun. However, she is small and agile enough to wriggle through the picket fence to get to into the front yard if her folks are there! She was rescued from someone who purchased her from a breeder but then kept her outside in a dirt lot with a couple of coonhounds. She is being crate trained and housebreaking is a work in progress.

Adoption fee is $175 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Prissy
Miss Priss is a 3 year Lhasa Apso who weighs about 20 pounds. She gets along fine with other dogs and with children, and doesn't pay attention to the cats. Miss Priss is very sweet and is looking for a loving home of her own. She enjoys riding in cars and cuddling with her foster mom. She will need some grooming in order to look her very best.
Adoption fee is $175 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Buckley
Buckley is an 8 year old Poodle-Brussels Griffon-Affenpinscher mix. He is a distinguished older gentleman that also has a silly side to his personality. He is housetrained, ignores cats, and is fine with other dogs. Buckley could go to a home with other animals or could enjoy being king of his own castle. He is definitely a house dog, but also enjoys walks and is easy on the leash. New friends get him wiggling all over and he is not a big barker. Buckley has some sensitivity in his tail area so older children would be preferred. There are many advantages to this mature guy: furniture is safe from chewing, short walks are fine, no holes dug in your garden, your neighbors will appreciate his quiet nature, and housetraining has already been done for you. Buckley is a wonderful companion and he looks forward to meeting you.

Switzer-Adopted
Switzer a young Schnauzer mix who weighs about 10 pounds. He is cute as a button and loves to be petted. He also enjoys perching on the arm or back of the sofa near his foster mom. Switzer needs an experienced dog owner who knows how to handle this high-strung terrier. He gets on well with dogs and cats, but would do better in a home with older children. He also needs more work on housetraining.

Gizmo(Shaggy)
Gizmo is a male Schnauzer mix who is 3-4 years old and weighs about 28 lbs. He is housetrained and enjoys going for walks. Gizmo gets on well with the other dogs in his foster home, although at first, he worried that the other dogs would take his food. Gizmo is fairly laid back, is low to medium energy, and doesn't need to be the dominant dog. He doesn't beg but is happy to take treats from your hand. The cat at his foster home doesn't like dogs, so Gizmo doesn't like her, but we don't know if it applies to all cats. At our adoption events, he wants to be petted by everyone that passes by - kids and adults alike - but he is scared of squeekie toys! He will make a great companion dog for anyone.

Corky-Adopted
Corky is a happy one year old Terrier mix who weighs 22 pounds. He gets along well with other dogs and cats. He is housebroken and uses the doggy door. He has the run of the house when his foster mom is at work.

Corky is generally quiet and enjoys being in a loving environment. He can get a little car sick, though. He is also learning to play with soft toys.
Adoption fee is $175 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Cody-Adopted
Cody is a 3 year old Shih Tzu who weighs 20 pounds. He has the sweetest temperament and is very well socialized. He gets along with other dogs, cats and children. He likes to play with toys, go for car rides and take walks. Cody needs a very loving home and regular grooming to feel his best.

Chance
Chance is a neutered 3 year old Yellow Lab mix with a wonderful temperament. He is big, friendly, and loving. He gets along well with other large dogs. He is 97 pounds, current on vaccines and he needs a home where he gets plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. Chance was a house dog at one time and would like to be again. If you have any questions you can contact Chance's foster home vadogrescue@aol.com All of our pets are fostered in homes in and around the Charlottesville, Va area.
Adoption fee is $175 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Brady-Adopted
Brady is a 5 month old Rottweiler mix. He's a typical rottie pup, very outgoing and friendly, very playful. Brady can be protective of his food, but he eats with other dogs without difficulty. Fenced yard required. Brady will use a crate, but at this age I can't say that he's housetrained. He loves playing with other dogs. You can contact Brady's foster home at vadogrescue@aol.com
Adoption fee is $175 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Lexi
Lexi is a rough-coated Jack Russell Terrier who is around two years old and weighs about 20 lbs.(she could even loose a few pounds). She gets along with well with other dogs and is ok with cats. Unlike most JRT, Lexi is a very sweet girl who wants to be a lap dog and snuggle up with you in bed. Lexi is spayed, current on shots and heartworm negative. All of our dogs are fostered in homes in and around the Charlottesville, Va area.
Adoption fee is $175 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Scooter-Pending
Scooter is a cute little Poodle mix who is about 3 years old and weighs about 8 pounds. He is a little shy at first until he gets to know you. He gets along well with the other dogs in his rescuer's home.
Adoption fee is $175 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Roxie-Pending
Hello. My name is Roxie. I am a 2-3 year old, 25-30lb, spayed Spaniel mix. I am a lot fun and a very loving dog. I am full of energy and life and am loking for a nice family who will love me unconditionally as I will love them. I love to play and snuggle with my family. I have a foster dog sister who I love playing with . We play tug-of-war and run around. We also like to settle down and sleep together. I would love for my forever home to have a dog I can play with . But I also would be very happy as an only dog. I love attention but I can also play by myself. I love cats, but I like to chase them sometimes. I do not want to hurt them, I just want to play. So if there is a cat in the house, the cat should be able to stand up to me. I love children, but older children are best for me because of my energy. I require a fenced in yard because I love to run. I am very quick and need a place that is safe for me to play in. I am completely potty-trained, know sit and down and love to go for walks. I hope you will give me a chance. I will be the most loving dog in your life that you will ever find!
Adoption fee is $175 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Robie
Robie is a neutered 4 yr.old Terrier/Poodle mix who weighs approx. 30-35 lbs. He loves to be with his people and gets along well with six other dogs in his foster home. He doesn't chew, is housebroken, not a barker and a quick and smart learner. Robie is a funny looking character and he is hoping that despite a huge underbite his person will choose him for his great personality and not his looks. Robie is an easy dog to take care of and would do best in a calmer household with older children He is current on shots and heartworm negative.
Adoption fee is $175 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Elle
Elle is a very sweet and friendly Beagle mix and would make a great playmate for kids, however she loves climbing fences. She is fairly young, probably no more than 2yrs old and is probably around 30-35 lbs.
Adoption fee is $175 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Gypsy-Adopted
Gypsy is an affectionate 1 yr. old spayed Terrier mix who loves to give kisses and have her head scratched. She weighs approx. 35 lbs. housebroken, heartworm negative and current on shots. She also likes to play with her toys and run around outside. Gypsy would do best in a home with a fenced in yard since she's easily distracted on her leash and tends to pull. She is very loyal and loves to be around people. Since she enjoys attention so much, she would probably be better as the only pet in her new home. Gypsy is crate trained and is currently attending obedience classes. After one look into her big eyes and a couple wet kisses you'll want to take Gypsy as a permanent addition to your loving home.
Adoption fee is $175 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.
