Harry
Harry is a 20 lb Sheltie/Pomeranian mix, about 2 yrs old, neutered, current on shots and heartworm negative. This guy is all love! Harry enjoys laying on his back showing complete trust in the humans around him and snuggling for a tummy rub! He is very laid back and gets along well with other dogs and cats, but Harry would prefer a family that won't leave him by himself for long periods.Harry is a wonderful dog, very loving, but he suffers from epileptic seizures roughly once a week, so he will need a caring, understanding family who has plenty of time to work with Harry's needs. We're trying to see if he responds well to a more holistic approach rather than conventional meds. His true love is being with people and he becomes anxious even in the company of other dogs when left for too long. He's also very loving and tolerant with children. He loves to play with his toys.
Adoption fee is $150 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Opie

Opie is a 1-2 yr. old Papillon/Tibetan Spaniel mix and a very clever thief, who could steal your heart just like that. He's a playful, smart and lovable little boy. He's doing well with his potty training and tries to alert you when he has to go out. He's good with cats and dogs, current on shots and heartworm negative.
Adoption fee is $150 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Cookie
Cookie is a beautiful 1 yr. old Spaniel/Aussie mix Current on shots, heartworm negative.
Adoption fee is $150 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Max-Adopted
Max thought he had found his forever home just to be returned to the shelter because his family was moving. He's hoping this time it will be forever. Max is approx. 10 mo. old and looks like a Poodle/Schnauzer mix. His coat feels very silky and I'm sure he will look gorgeous when it grows out (guess someone gave him a bad haircut). He is friendly with other dogs and loves to follow you around. New pictures are forthcoming.
Adoption fee is $150 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Flirt
Flirt is a beautiful, brindle, Great Dane. She appears to be about 4 years old. She's very friendly, good with other dogs. She was given up by an owner who didn't have a fence and couldn't keep her at home. You can contact Flirt's foster home at vadogrescue@aol.com if you have any questions.
Adoption fee is $150 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Amos

Amos is a 12 lb. friendly Border Terrier mix who gets along with dogs and cats. He is more cuddly with a female companion, but given some time and treats he will warm up to everybody.
Adoption fee is $150 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Patti
Patti is a Chihuahua-Jack Russell mix, about 5 yrs old, and weighs about 8 lbs. She is shy and low-energy. Patti is quite timid in public, in front of those she doesn't know. However, when she is in comfortable surroundings, Patti loves to play gently with a pull toy or a bone. Most of all, Patti enjoys curling up with a person watching TV or reading a book. She enjoys sleeping in the bed at your head. Patti gets along well with other dogs and plays in a non-aggressive manner, moving away if the other dogs begin to play rough. She is fine around cats as well. Patti avoids small children, but is non-aggressive if a child pets her. Patti has shown a tendency toward hip dysplasia and has been on a regimen of glucosamine every other day. She shows marked improvement in her joints with this medication. Patti would do well with a couple who have plenty of time to spend with her. She will also be fine if there are older children in the family. Current on shots, spayed and heartworm negative.
Adoption fee is $150 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Sandy
Sandy is a 1 yr. old Soft-coated Wheaten Terrier mix weighing approx. 18 lbs.
Adoption fee is $150 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Della
Della is half Mastiff and half Golden Retriever. At 5 months of age, she's already about 50 pounds and she will be a pretty good sized dog when fully grown. She's just a pup, so we have to assume that she's not housetrained at this point. She's good with other dogs, very playful. She's recently discovered her bark and likes to bark at new and startling things, but she's not aggressive. I can't tell you anything about her behavior with cats or kids, just that she's good with other dogs. You can contact the foster home at vadogrescue@aol.com if you have any questions.
Adoption fee is $150 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Toodles
Toodles is a spayed silver Schnoodle. She is about 1-2 yrs old and weighs about 10 lbs. Toodles is a very sweet and loving little girl who thoroughly enjoys being held. Toodles loves to play with other dogs, but avoids rough play. She also enjoys sacking out in the bed while being held in your arms.
Adoption fee is $150 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Elle

Elle is a very sweet and friendly Beagle mix and would make a great playmate for kids, however she loves climbing fences.  She is fairly young, probably no more than 2yrs old and is probably around 30-35 lbs.
Adoption fee is $150 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Hamlet
Hamlet is a Rottweiler, about 6 years old, neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm negative, and quite healthy and happy. He gets along well with other dogs, and like all rotties, he's very fond of attention and contact with humans. You can contact Hamlet's foster home at vadogrescue@aol.com if you have any questions.
Adoption fee is $150 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Rosie
Rosie is a spayed, reddish MinPin weighing approx. 10-13 lbs.
Adoption fee is $150 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Riley
COURTESY POSTING: Riley, he is 3 1/2, born on November 2,2004. He has been neutered, and rabies runs out in Dec. of this year. Loves to take a bath, and swim in the lake. Does not like to have his nails clipped or behind his ears brushed. Wears a pinch collar and knows sit, stay, come, and heal very well. This is not an Animal Connections dog but is being shown here as a courtesy to the owner. Please contact the undersigned and your email will be forwarded appropriately. Contact vadogrescue@aol.com if you have questions about this dog.
Adoption fee is $150 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Grady
Grady is a very unique mix of Schnauzer and possibly Chinese Crested. He weighs approx. 15 lbs. and is about 2-3 yrs. old. He is very friendly with dogs and cats.
Adoption fee is $150 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Tug

Tug is a young, neutered male Boxer, probably 2-3 years old.  He seems very sweet, very typical Boxer look and personality.  If you know the breed and like them, you will like Tug.  He's good with other dogs, but I can't tell you much more about him at this point.  He looks like he came out of pretty bad living conditions and his weight and skin show signs of neglect.  However, he's eating very well now, is picking up some weight and looking better every day.  He is not a large Boxer, however, probably will be no more than 45 pounds.  You can contact Tug's foster home at vadogrescue@aol.com if you have any questions or would like an application to adopt this dog. Adoption fee is $150 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Bruce

Bruce is about 1.5 years old, a neutered male Rottweiler mix. He is good with other dogs, very friendly and outgoing with people. Bruce is a big boy at 90+ pounds, so he needs exercise opportunities, room to stretch out, and someone who isn't afraid of large dogs who like to give hugs. He is crate trained. Although he hasn't had the luxury of indoor living up to now, he will not be adopted as an outside-only dog. You can contact Bruce's foster home at vadogrescue@aol.com if you have any questions. Adoption fee is $150 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Gypsy

Gypsy is an affectionate 1 yr. old spayed Terrier mix who loves to give kisses and have her head scratched. She weighs approx. 35 lbs. housebroken, heartworm negative and current on shots. She also likes to play with her toys and run around outside. Gypsy would do best in a home with a fenced in yard since she's easily distracted on her leash and tends to pull. She is very loyal and loves to be around people.  Since she enjoys attention so much, she would probably be better as the only pet in her new home. Gypsy is crate trained and is currently attending obedience classes. After one look into her big eyes and a couple wet kisses you'll want to take Gypsy as a permanent addition to your loving home.
Adoption fee is $150 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Bud

Bud is a 5 year old male Rottweiler. He's been neutered and is current on vaccines. Bud is a nice boy, but has a big and intimidating presence. He's been good with all the dogs he's met in his current foster home, but like most Rotties, what Bud really wants is a person of his own with at least one hand available for petting much of the time. You can contact Bud's foster home at vadogrescue@aol.com. Bud will only be adopted to a home with a securely fenced yard and to someone with prior Rottweiler experience and good references. Bud is a companion, not a guard dog.
Adoption fee is $150 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.
