We live in Ternopol city, which is situated on the West of Ukraine. My friends and I are always attracted by the beaty, grace, power and great hunting qualities of afghan hounds. The hunting with russian borzoi, greyhounds, khorts are done long sinse in our region.

That's not a problem to see goats, foxes and of couse hares, the sprinters, who develop a speed of 70 km per hour, in our woods and on the fields.

We brought the first afghan hound from Moskow in 1990. It's name is "Vanessa El'Bark" and nicknamed as "Vega". This hound become the begining of our Aboriginal Afghan Hound Kennel.

In the former Soviet Unions republics the breed of Afghan hound is divided in to two types: aboriginal and afghan (or "decorative" not hunting). In Ukraine there are about 30 aboriginal afghan hounds, mostly in our region.
