updated 7/10/09 This list is completely updated every Friday. We can occasionally add to the list during the week when we know that animals will be coming in on a certain date. We try to note when an animal is adopted, but since the shelter is not connected to the internet and the website is updated by volunteers, it doesn't always get done. So please forgive us if you fall in love with one of these sweeties, then go to the shelter and find that it has found a home already. Remember, even though you see so many of the animals marked adopted there are always more coming in every day that are looking for that someone special to love. Please call or visit the shelter to find out about new arrivals not listed here. The #number listed after each animal's name is a reference number assigned by the shelter. You can use this number to inquire about an animal. Adoption Process: TLC does not use application forms, so there is nothing you need to fill out prior to visiting the Shelter. The Shelter staff will talk to you about adopting an animal and how you will care for it. You will be approved or denied based on your response (we only want what is best for the animal and you and your family). When you come in looking for a pet, you must bring your children and any other dogs you have that may be interacting with the new pet. If you rent an apartment or own a condominium, you must bring a copy of your lease or your condominium bylaws stating that you are able to have pets on the premises. Dog adoptions are $100.00 and up. There is a $25.00 spay/neuter fee for any dogs that have not been spayed or neutered prior to being adopted. We offer low cost spays/ and neutering for animals adopted from the shelter.
