Some lovely poems by my dear friend Le Vent
For the Fanged Lady
A kiss from thy lips upon my neck.....Could that be so bad
I may feel you with thy fangs...stinging but a tad.
Perhaps the warmth of mine own blood...would flow on into thine
And if for only moments... we share an ecstacy divine
It matters not of souls here......so little time to waste
I am the wind, I reign the night ...'tis your lips I wish to taste

Fear you not
Who is this creature of the night
I have never known
From who's thoughts within her mind
of herself she's shown
Should I feel terror of vampire fangs
of dark and fearful nights
Or should I let her know that she
causes me no fright
She knows not whom she asks to visit
yes me, a total stranger
Her invitation to watch and see
as she dwells within her chamber
Forewarning now, this message clear
heed now what you see
Beware of me, I have such power
the gods have granted me
I am the wind that ever blows
the wind you cannot see
I am the wind that touches you
drifting eternally
And should I come to where you are
I'll tempt you for your bite
I'll feign the fright so you wont know
I may want you close tonight
I'll let you promise eternal life
but this I now possess
I know your beautiful, with supple lips
I may want their soft caress
I'll let you say your chilling thoughts
but know this chill be yours
Perhaps my breath like finger tips
up and down your back
Inspite your vampires cold cold heart
I see beyond the cold
I feel a warmth that you may hide
my perception very bold
Beware, this wind, has already touched
I know now where you are
Dont let the wind get in your eyes
as it travels from afar
Perhaps I'll visit you very soon
perhaps to taste your kiss
Hide in your night my lovely creature
your charm I may not resist

Grand Event
Tonight I pay my tributes to
whom ever did conceive
This gathering of the nether world
on this midsummers eve
This is a party of the underworld
for all the things of fright
It's not a time to feel the terror
we're all at peace tonight
The music heard are mournful wails
as midnight strokes the bell
While Satan conducts a choir of souls
from the bowels of hell
The guest of honor is death himself
the reaper without his scythe
With him we'll dance, more than once
tonight he'll pass us by
All shadows will reveal themselves
each one we soon will touch
The things that lurk inside and out
that frighten us so much
From open coffins, the dead arise
enticing us to dance
Around the room their bodies sway
waiting for the chance
Lightening bolts like flashing strobes
light the bobbing heads
Of naked bodies in frenzied motion
as ghouls dance with the dead
A vampire now embraces me
a wine she drinks tonight
Upon my neck I feel her lips
a kiss without the bite
The floor now fills with twisting souls
a sea of ghastly sight
Released from bondage, prisons, tombs
freed just for tonight
The choir howls, the guests now shriek
higher now the din
Churning bodies, vented lusts, a Godless night
of merriment with sin
With these creatures of pain and death
tonight we dance and drink
Tonight we flirt with this macabre
not seeing its evil wink
We raise our glass to make a toast
to life and every breath
Behind our backs they point and laugh
our toast they change to death
The dawn breaks through to cease the night
ending its ethereal spell
I bid adieu, knowing I'll follow
returning to each our hell
The Reaper stands to say goodnight
as ends this grand event
I shake his hand and see his grin
now friends for all intent
I sober to his spoken words
chilled now to the marrow
I pray his whisper, just a phrase
"I'll see you tomorrow".
