| Power, in the hands of those of us who should have had our licenses taken away! | ||||||||||||||
| I have been asked how much power my car produces. Click here to see my latest dyno on the Cragar car!!! | ||||||||||||||
| I have always loved high performance cars. I currently have a supercharged 1998 Saleen S-281-SC Mustang. Every time that I brought home a new sports car my father would always joke around saying that it has a supercharger, an exhaust, race suspension, everything but the high performance cup holders. The newest addition to my collection is my supercharged 1997 Shinoda Boss Mustang. It is unique in the fact that it is the very last Boss Mustang ever made. The car was built as a promotional piece for Cragar wheels and was unvieled at the 1997 SEMA conventions in Las Vegas. The Boss package is a dealership option which means that if you purchased a Boss Mustang you are actually buying a Mustang and the dealership pucrhases the Boss package and installs it there. The Cragar car was not built by the dealership but rather by Larry Shinoda himself. He passed away only 13 days after the car was finished and only got to see the car once. It was built with a Paxton SN-93 supercharger, Diablo chip, 3.73's in the rear end, 2 1/2" off road X-Pipe, two chamber Flowmaster mufflers, Ford racing heads, and a Hurst shifter to name a few. The color is Lincoln Pearl White with Metallic Blue/Green stripes. The spoiler on the rear deck in also unique. The wing is a 15" race wing that is not too small, not too tall. It serves it's pupose to create downforce without standing out like an aluminum bookshelf on a sport compact. In the middle of the wing are two circular cut outs that look like cupholders. Because of these two cut outs the spoiler is referred to as the Shinoda Boss 15" Supersport Cupholder wing. After everything is accounted for, the car produces well over 400 horsepower. I purchased the car with only 15,000 miles on it. The entire car was documented. Upon entering my website you will find facts, stats, history, and yes of course- pictures of the car. My father unfortunately passed away before he had a chance to see the Shinoda. I know that he is looking down upon me right now and that being a fellow hot rod fanatic he approves of the new addition. Well dad, just so you know, I fianlly did it. I have bought a car with a supercharger, exhaust, race suspension, and yes dad, it even has the high performance cup holders! |
