Hi. I'm Lori. From September 1999 through April 2006 I used to roll out some of the best in contemporary folk, folk-rock, and alt-folk by some incredible women singer-songwriters (and occasionally some of their male friends) for you on KTUH 90.3 FM Honolulu from noon to three Hawaii time on Thursdays. Alas, we were no longer able to continue to folk the airwaves on a regular basis, but this site shall remain with archived playlists, photos and interviews. And we'll keep you updated if we make any temporary returns to KTUH.

Hey folks! We, as in I, will be returning to KTUH on Sunday, May 28, subbing Sunday Morning Jazz for DJ EOS from 9 a.m.-noon. We shall be jazzing, but don't be surprised if you hear a Susan Werner or Jenn Adams tune :)

| Recommendations | Current pick: Dar Williams, My Better Self Dar Williams does it again. Some how, even after releasing six studio albums on Razor & Tie and a couple of self-released tapes, Dar continues to come out with more and more incredible material. To steal a phrase from Erin McKeown, Dar's "raging intelligence" once again is showcased in the complex, thoughtful stories at the heart of this album. And Dar's folk roots shine through Stewart Lerman's production of this folk-pop gem. My Better Self is our favorite Dar release since 1998's End of the Summer. |
