2000 Season Update
On June 15th, the Sting activated Shalonda from the injured list. She has immediately responded and adjusted to playing with the Sting (traded from Mystics for Vicky Bullet before season). Now she is averaging double figures for the Sting and has made an immediate impact on the team and the league.

I love Seattle. I'm thinking about making it my home. That shows I like the city a lot. Seattle is not only beautiful, but the people-- I can't even describe how nice they are. I have never played in front of a wealth of fans that our so supportive. They are true fans. They are there when you win and lose. We appreciate their support. Our team never gave up this year. We stuck in it from beginning to end and our fans never gave up on us either."
The Adjustment to the Pros
Being a small forward, I have to work a lot harder on having a physical game. The pro game is a whole other world. Day in and day out you play All-Americans. That means the talent is triple that of college. I want to improve on everything- my shooting, my strength, my endurance- to complete an entire season without being so fatigued at the end.
Shay and the WNBA
Shalonda Enis was the thirteenth overall pick in the WNBA, going to the Washington Mystics where she currently ranks 19th overall for rebounds per game and averages around 8 points per game.
