PRAY FOR THE YOUTH
SERVICE
(Doa untuk Jemaah Belia)

Pray that our youth will have a deep hunger for God and
yearning for a closer relationship with God.
Supaya belia kita dapat merasai kelaparan kerohanian mereka untuk
mengasihi Tuhan dan menambah keinginan mereka untuk merapatkan hubungan
mereka dengan Tuhan
-
Pray against the spirits that grip the hearts of our youth
- unbelief; fear of rejection by peers & culture; insecurity, manifested
thru fear of failure in exams.
Doa menentang roh-roh jahat yang memegang hati belia kami - tidak
percaya atau tidak yakin; takut tidak diterima oleh rakan dan kebudayaan;
perasaan terancam yang ternyata melalui kegentaran gagal dalam peperiksaan.

Many of our youth may be from broken families. Pray
that the salvation we preach will bring blessings to all aspects of life
and family members as in the life of Abraham.
Kebanyakan belia kami mungkin dari keluarga bermasalah. Doakanlah
supaya keselamatan yang kami beritakan akan membawa berkat ke semua paras
hidup dan ahli-ahli keluarga seperti dalam hidup Abraham.

Pray for CPT leaders to be bold to approach young people,
to reach out to them
Agar ketua-ketua Kumpulan Gembala Jemaah akan berani menemui belia
kami dan menolong mereka

Pray for God to work in the lives of our youth so that
they may open up their lives to God.
Agar Tuhan akan terus mengusahakan hidup belia kami supaya mereka
akan membukakan hidup mereka kepada Tuhan

Pray for the revival of the Tambourine Ministry
in the Youth Service !
Madeline Kong is now training a group of about a dozen excited young
people (including Yit Tien !). Pray that this group will bloom and
make a bold group appearance soon !

Pray for the December Youth Camp
Planning is in progress - date will be somewhere around December
10th -13th December. Pray our youth will go with open mind and spirit,
together with invited friends. Pray that neither weather nor exams
nor any circumstances may hinder our young people from coming to Jesus.
Pray also that there will be more people to help out in the Youth Camp.

Pray for the upcoming school exams especially for those
who are taking PMR, SPM and STPM.
-
Pray also for the recent economic downtown which is affecting
a lot of people. Pray for God's blessing and guidance towards this situation.

Our sub-CPT is having a Youth Cell Intern Training. Pray
that God will move mightyly within them to be the leader of the church.

Pray that our church's members
will understand and be united and be moved in our cathedral's vision and
mission.
Our Cathedral's VISION is to become a
Righteous, Obedient and Ministering People of God, sharing Christ's love
in KK and beyond.
Our MISSION is firstly
to achieve Right relationship with God, others and
ourselves, then
to give our Offering of Praise and Worship, tithes
/ offerings / gifts / talents, and finally
to serve in the Ministries of His Word and Prayer,
bearing the fruit of loving and saving souls.

up the mission from aspect through Mission 113.
Pray that Parents will whole heartedly encourage their
children to respond willingly to God's call to full-time ministry.
Let us remember our brothers and sisters who are sick.

PRAY FOR OUR NATION
& THE NATIONS AROUND US

Pray for our education system and those who are involved
in the education of our young people.
-
Pray for our political leaders to rule in wisdom and righteousness,
especially during these current times of political, economic and financial
crisis.
-
Pray against all forms of wickedness, injustices and corruption
to be exposed and removed in all levels of society and government.
We should not be satisfied with any situation just because it is the lesser
of two evils. Pray for law, order, justice to be upheld. Pray
for justice to roll on like a river and righteousness like a never failing
stream (Amos 5: 24)

Pray for the coming big event in Malaysia, the
16th Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur. Pray that the Church of
Jesus in Malaysia can bless our country through sports. Click here

Praise God ! We have won 10 gold medals ! Monday
28th Sept 98 was declared a public holiday by Mahathir in appreciation
for everyone's effort in making this golden Game a success. Pray
for more blessing to come out of this !

ESTRADA URGED TO SEEK SAUDI PARDON FOR PREACHERS
MANILA : President Joseph Estrada was urged Thursday by
the Roman Catholic leadership here to work for the release of 12 Filipinos
detained in Saudi Arabia for allegedly preaching the Christian faith.
House of Representatives member Romeo Candazo, in a separate statement,
said the 12, all contract workers, were detained in Riyadh and some could
face the death penalty for distributing religious items to fellow Filipinos
there.
Quitoro said there were reports that some of the 12 had been tortured
to reveal the names of other Filipinos who were practising Christianity.
"To practice one's religious faith is an internationally recognised
human right," Candazo said.

Today we take the very unusual step of sending
you a message requiring the attention and action of many Christians worldwide.
The following concerns a situation that
we have been following for the last two weeks. We know that the details
given are trustworthy. We are thankful that the families and churches of
those involved are in favour of this action.
All forms of Christian expression are strictly
banned in Saudi Arabia, and foreign Christian workers from less influential
countries such as the Philippines and India are often persecuted and harassed
without regard for their rights ... Over recent weeks the situation has
worsened with 11 expatriate Christians have being picked up in a security
sweep. They are likely undergoing interrogation under considerable
mental and physical duress.
Please take whatever action you can on this.

would be appreciated.

Looting worsens in Indonesia

JAKARTA : Despite warning from the army, Indonesia is facing a growing
law and order problem as the population finds daily life becoming tougher
and millions are forced into poverty ... General Wiranto's tough
warning, which is not the first, comes amid crop looting and the destruction
of local plantations ... likewise at Tangerang in the capital's suburbs
and along the coast, people this week took to raiding shrimp ponds.
When the army turned up at Tangerang, the raiders paid no attention ...
Similar scenes of looting were reported ... in east Java, where crowds
pillaged shops owned by ethnic Chinese. "We are hungry," shouted
the crowd as they carried away bundles of goods while the army looked on
helplessly ... AFP.

than 1000 ethnic Chinese died in riots in major cities throughout the country,
and of a known 152 victims of gang rapes, 20 had died, according to human
