A&C Software - being relatively new - doesn't have too many products out at present. This will change as we get more time to code, and more problems to solve.

Current Products:

Message Wizard - This 14kb application will enable you to leave messages for the next user of the computer, the message checker automaticaly runs at startup, and if there are no messages you do not even know it is running.

Quadratic Solver - This 36Kb Application will solve a quadratic equation given to it, plot a graph of the quadratic, and also give a value for y given a value of x. It's our current most popular app, and is available for download from our downloads page. It's certainly come a long way from solving a quadratic, giving the answer in two different dialogue boxes, and crashing if the quadratic had no solution.

Trigonometry Workshop - Another Maths related application. This programme will tell you any or all of the sides of a right angled triangle when given any two values. This is our latest and greatest app that isn't currently in closed beta testing.

LineWizard - Yet another Maths related application. This programme will tell you the gradient and formula for a straight line graph if you type in or click any two points. Major update on the way.

MailTools - This one all started when Chris downloaded the source for the Melissa Macro Virus (purely out of curiousity, you understand..) and found that MAPI (the communications protocol that Microsoft E-mail programs generally use) is actually a fairly good - and not to forget *easy* - way of getting things done! So MailTools basically uses the same technology as Melissa to check and send e-mail through your primary e-mail account.. don't let that put you off, though!
*NEW VERSION RELEASED* - A new version of MailTools has been released, with encryption/decryption capabilities as well as support for Netscape E-mail Software along with Microsoft MAPI-Compliant clients.

Pythagoras Solver - Okay, so I (Chris) thought it might have been a good idea. An application that provided good, solid, (well the error trapping was coming in in the *next* version..) coding, and accompanied it with a witty and light-hearted user interface. Unfortunately, it didn't quite work out that way.. *sighs*.. well, anyway, it's been discontinued, removed from the downloads page, and the screenshots have been burnt. Ahem.

UltraPad - I (Chris) decided to write this application because I used to own an Apple Mac, and loved it dearly. I used to use 'Note Pad' to store Web and E-mail addresses on the fly, and sorely missed Note Pad upon transition to a Pentium II 300. I don't expect too much sympathy on this one. :) UltraPad is a clone-of-sorts of the Apple Macintosh 'Note Pad' application - there's no save/load options, and it's all done automatically. If you haven't used the Mac version you won't understand what I'm talking about, but if you have used the Mac version and have been trying desperately to find a PC clone, this is probably what you're looking for.

TinyEncrypt - TinyEncrypt can encrypt either a whole text file, or anything given to it to encrypt. It can then show the results on screen, or save to a text file. Weighing in at 14K, it's pretty useful for easy encryption, but I wouldn't use it for anything where the highest security is required.

MailChecker - MailChecker is a small app. that uses POP3 to connect to your mail server and will let you read and delete your e-mail messages.

ShowFreeSpace - This is our latest application. It uses the Win32 API to call GetNumberofBytes() and, um, shows you how much free disk space you have on drives A: to I:. More helpful than you might think. I hope.

Panic Machine - Um. Andrew's first solo entry into the programming world. The panic machine was able to create dialogue boxes for application errors, and also general error messages. Only problem was that most of it was shown always in Andrew's 'non-standard' colour scheme. Doh. I think it's safe to say that we've put the Panic Machine to rest, but it's still available for download if you want a laugh.

MailSerf!!!!! Yes the new A&C Software product has been anounced, MailSerf is a mailing list server for the rest of us. It will be very thin, very efficent, and as always free!! MailSerf will be our largest product to date, and as such there will be a lot to go wrong, making beta testing even more important so if you feel you could, fill out our application form and become a beta tester..

Next - Um. Where to go from here. I (Chris) want to write a chi-squared test application - it's a Psychology statistical validity test. Apart from that, it would be cool to write some more Internet related apps. We just don't know. If you have any ideas, please e-mail us....
